I leave for a few momths only to poke my head back in to see Assault Dropships so thoroughly butchered along with repeatedly buffed AV....make some sense of this for me please. After reading one too many dismissive trollish Ratatti posts, you're the only one I trust to speak logicallyand reasonably.

Apparently he's been away for personal family issues. I just want his input on all this as he's basically the only truly intelligent and reasonable dropship pilot I trust when it comes to data. I just can't get over how drastic these changes have been and how one sided they are. I mean, not even giving us a damage buff on direct hts to retain some AV potential? Laughable at best.

Anti-Vehicle Weapon Changes:
*Fixed bug which prevented Proficiency Skills from applying to AV Weapons
*Fixed bug which prevented Forge Guns from firing
*Increased STD/ADV Swarm Launcher damage; Reduced PRO Swarm Launcher damage
*Increased Swarm Launcher flight speed
*Increased Anti-Vehicle Grenade Damage

Changes 1 and 2 are bug fixes, not buffs and change #3 can't even be considered a buff because they nerfed the damage of Wyrikomi & Ishukone SLs at the same time. AV Grenades were only buffed to compensate for their capacity nerf in 1.8
There's only been one Swarm Launcher buff, though to your credit there have been a few Plasma Cannon buffs over the span of a few Hotfixes. I guess that could count as "repeatedly buffed AV".

Potentiql lies aside, I think any CPM member who doesn't play other games within the genre is a bad CPM member. Playing other games gives you perspective about the pros and the cons of other games, which can be used to better analyxe this one.
Any CPM who plays strictly DUST is a bad CPM

Oh I agree, personally I have become bored of every other shooter out there but I will say I think that Battlefield 4 handles vehicle balance much better than Dust to be honest. I have always said this.
I know this is a little off topic but I think that if we are not going to have vehicles with capacitors and balanced similar to how they used to be in more of an EVE style, then the BF4 route of reactive tanking is the way to go.
Countermeasures, flares, smokescreens etc.... all have to be used wisely to help you escape. None of this roll up with triple rep and hold 1 buttaaannnnn to win. (Like things were in the past)

when did av get buffed ?!
sl used to do 350 with 6 missiles and goo 400m forge had like 400m range 2000dmg and a load of splash.
not to mention that for months skills and proficiency bonuses didnt even work for AV
