Just recently started again after an extended absence, and things sure have changed. Before I left, I fully skilled in to the mag sec. At the time it was a good decision, and I liked the weapon a great deal. Now it seems so terrible. I am really dissatisfied with this warpon's per formance.

The sidearm that is quickly becoming my new go to is the Ion pistol. Man, this thing really feels awesome. Would like to here some other opinions on this weapon, as I have only skilled it to Lv 4 so far but am REALLY considering taking it pro.

I haven't touch the Bolt pistol, Flaylok or SMG since I got back. Does the Flaylok stil suck? I've heard some rumblings of OP concerning the Bolt pistol; would be interested in hearing well reasoned discussion about it. How is the SMG doing? You know there was a time when just about the only weapon I would use was an SMG (back in chrome; ahh, those where the good ol days).

Looking for opinions. Thanks in advance.

Flaylock seems to have gotten better, smgs have been tweaked a few different ways. Breach is fun to use now! Bolt pistols have gotten a little ridiculous. Scrambler pistols are still awesome. Ion pistol still goes pew and most of the time nothing happens. Dedicated Stealth Scout. Scout instructor; Learning Coalition Scrambler pistols are still lethal.

IP for close range and ScP for distance - this worked a treat during the event, especially on scouts, and I only have ScP trained to lvl3 and IP to lvl4. I love the RoF on the IP but am not really a fan of the charged shot (bolt pistol users may have better luck with this function). A (possibly overlooked) downside to the charged shot is that your position is easily noticeable by the enemy since you and the weapon both gain an orange aura. EDIT: I've also been having fun with the FP (lvl3 trained) and I have always been sh*t with it up until now. Seems like a lot has changed since I stormed away after Fanfest, a lot for the better I reckon. Yep

Try it out, especially on a scout ;) They fly when you blow them up and it makes me crack up everytime!
