Just recently started again after an extended absence, and things sure have changed. When I was last spending some serious time on this game the scrambler pistol was was the king of sidearms with the SMG a really close second. I stopped playing shortly after all the new sidearms were deployed, and it seems as though their has been a sidearm rebalance since then, if I remember the stats right.

My perception of this balance is a little narrow so far. There is much verity among sidearms, and not enough SP. I have mag sec at prof 4, ScP at Prof 4 and IP at 4 no prof. ScP was my go to side arm for a very long time but when they changed the RoF on it when the new sidearms were deployed it left a really bad tast in my mouth and I stopped using he I went on my "extended absence". It seems to me, from what I remember of the stats before I left, that the ScP has been reworked a bit, and may be a little more viable now. I would be interested in hear discussion concerning its viability or lack there of.

Before I left, I fully skilled in to the mag sec. At the time it was a good decision, and I liked the weapon a great deal. Now it seems so terrible. I am really dissatisfied with this warpon's per formance.

The sidearm that is quickly becoming my new go to is the Ion pistol. Man, this thing really feels awesome. Would like to here some other opinions on this weapon, as I have only skilled it to Lv 4 so far but am REALLY considering taking it pro.

I haven't touch the Bolt pistol, Flaylok or SMG since I got back. Does the Flaylok stil suck? I've heard some rumblings of OP concerning the Bolt pistol; would be interested in hearing well reasoned discussion about it. How is the SMG doing? You know there was a time when just about the only weapon I would use was an SMG (back in chrome; ahh, those where the good ol days).
