Really, why?
I mean other than the tower roof in the center where you can hide spawn pads inside of the edges.

It's not that bad if the other team doesn't have AV and uplinks on top.
The uplinks happen 99% of the time. AV? Not so much. |

Other than the tower roof spawn glithing thing, I actually really like that map as the fight is on the tower. It seems like a map where all types of units (vehicles/av/infantry) all have their place and I can see an argument for just about any weapon being useful on it.
There are a lot of domination maps that are heavily bias towards one type of playstyle (like manus peak or gal research).

Not sure you'd be reducing lag by moving it. If anything, you'd be moving the lag elsewhere. There's frame rate fixes in 1.9 I'm hopeful may reduce some of these problems.

BTW i would move it on the bridge over or between the two stairsways under the bridge, it would still be close to the point but in a more open area.

As long as CCP makes it where you don't bounce of the ladder when you walk up to it so they can actually be climbed without stopping and waiting to be sure you don't bounce before trying to climb...

That domination objective needs to be moved.
I am tired of the 20 minute fight over a ledge the size of a pool table.
Couple that with the gltiching terrain, no way up to the ledges around the tower, little cover, and unbalanced sides it is a wonder why people even play that POS map.

Honestly, from a graphics/lag standpoint, an enclosed place is generally actually better. Because then you don't need to render those uplinks when you can't see them because you aren't in the room. How well DUST does this is a viable question (and I'm not sure the exact nature of the frame rate fix in 1.9), but generally speaking, things enclosed in smaller spaces tend to be better for game performance.

This is logic and probably true, but i think the problem is dictated by players behaviour. In that smaller space people tend to spam as much as they can because it's effective, while in wider areas spam is less effective and less practiced. Probably moving the depot will not solve the problem, but i guess that moving it to a open will lower the player desire or the need to spam.

I love that map, because the fights on it tend to be very intense.

That said, if one team uses dropships and the other does not then it's a total stomp.
