BPOs have been in the hands of players for a long, long time now. I personally own a good number of them. I don't use them to save ISK. I have at least a thousand ready-to-go proto setups waiting for use one of these days and I have plenty of ISK to feed the supply of even more. I tend to use full standard setups generally because anyone can go proto and do good- not everyone can go standard and do even moderately well. So ISK isn't a problem to me.
Why do I use BPOs? I'm one lazy ************. I don't feel like restocking my suits. That's all. How about you?

Saving 3k per match isn't that great aiming you're running a BPO suit with everything else consumable.
Unless you have BPO modules/guns, don't even bother calling it a "Rain Maker" suit. |

because CCP won't let me customize my face or my merc room. So I have to settle with buying BPO's with colors I like.
Just bought the Quafe suit, but if CCP fixes the Primordial Suit and it looks cool enough, might buy that one too. Then I'll treat them like clothes and wear the colors depending on my mood and/or the situation.

I don't know, I sometimes wear my logi suits on sundays because of the yellow... like, you know, the sun... *ahem* anyways
but yeah, those Quafe suits are absolutely gorgeous... and so shiny too!

I just made my first non-proto fit of the year. i named it "After Mid-night" It's Templar BPO's i made it to not lose a ridiculous amount of ISK because i do completely terrible after midnight :P

Because Assault suits are usually pretty plain. Caldari Assault is good looking don't get me wrong but sometimes I want to look awesome when I die which is why I use SVER (and because Raven didn't win even in this game you screw me over SVER!) |

Yeah. Kinda this. Nothing says "suck it" like beating someone while wearing BPO suits.

It's great to use a BPO Heavy fit, to squash guys on proto that have been giving you a hard time.
So I call it my "mutually assured isk-lost" fit.
Kill proto-gal scouts with that a few times, and suddenly the Creodrons and CRG-3s turn into "Shotgun" and "Militia Shotgun" because they are trying to save money.
Mission accomplished.
Set your goals high, and shoot for the moon; even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars.

BPOs are the only way to look cool without using rip-off AUR consumables. (The LP store and their common fancy-schmancy camo and stuff look lame, so they are discounted)

Basically as was stated by others, I like using my bpos cause they look good and it's total pownage when you rake with them.
Right now I'm loving running my Sever M-1 logi and my Quafe M-1 assault. I also bought a Quafe M-1 scout for later use.
How do you kill that which has no life?
