It would awesome if there could be eight Factions but not related to Dust 514 but to Starwars like for example
The Old Republic, Sith Empire, CIS (Confederacy of Independent Systems), The Galactic Republic, The Rebellion, Galactic Empire, The Pirates, and The Consortium aka Corruption if you played Starwars Empire at War Forces of Corruption a RTS( Real Time Strategy Game) Only on PC in where you control Land units and the best part Space units.
Anyway this would make us Starwars nerds fight for these corporations in awesome PC battles like for example, The Republic vs the CIS and so on. Eight factions fight in molden heath against each other to control planets and most of all The Galaxy >:D
We need Captains for this. I would fight for the Republic >:D The OB strikes would be Epic as well.
MAG Raven vet 7 times. Favorite weapon F90 and Highest Kills 78 and 23 deaths.

There's always the option of starting them yourself, and using them to host starter corps which train PC.
EvE has this, Red V Blue corps.
Albeit they focus on just skirmishes in lowsec or something if my info is right(it never is)
As an alternative to PC, you could use the soon to be useful FW.
I know for sure that if/when i ever get my PS3 back and running, i'll be looking for such a corp to reintroduce me to the game, as my last meaningful learning of hte game was Uprising 1.6 or so(1.7/1.8 was when everyone exodus'd and thus i stopped caring about actually learning the game) and as such i still will probably fit things entirely wrong.
I remember checking Batking's fittings, and noticing that his fits had the OLD Basic extenders stacked:
I said to him "wow man, those extenders have GOT to be swapped out, use a proto and a basic, more HP same CPU"
Then he just chuckled at me, and says "Look at the PG."
...well ****. 9 PG for 3 basics, 11 for a complex alone. So yeah i think relearning this game woudl be best for me :P
