I run minja and have been using only side arms with my NK as my main. I normally do decent but yesterday I really got pissed off. Every time I turned around I was getting shot in the back! I was only getting wide open maps and the reds were scattered looking for my blues that weren't doing ****. Or I was getting hit by proto gal or cal scouts that I couldnt scan but they sure could see me! So agrevatting. I have damp at 3 but I am going 5 ASAP.
It made me put my minja away. I know I suck but I like to stay positive with my KDR
Just had to get that off my chest.

In DUST (especially when you run solo), sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug.

Yeah , in those wide open maps and your running and your opponent was scattered , there's not much to do as a minja but hack ... but if your squad wasn't doing anything , then your double boned because you don't really have anyone to watch your back or provide cover fire for you .
It's hard to cover ground like that because your going to feel like your by yourself for the most part .
In matches like that your always running into two stragglers at least , so you have to pick your poison .
I feel ya Bro .
Sounds like it sucked .
Delta should come with a SP or infantry SP refund so that a campaign for one is not needed .

Been there.
It is much easier when your team is decent enough that the enemy knows where to find them, but if they are bad, and those reds are spread out, you are f'ed.
I don't know how you survived this long without damps to 5.

as much as i hate to say it.. you need to use a rifle+nk's on open maps that way you can shank people or shoot people from a range.

It's hard , I can vouch for that .
I'm trying to make it to all 5's myself , that's why I told him I feel for him because were in the same boat but I have all three on 4 but it's pretty much the same when your running anything besides a scout and a particular one at that as he said his self about the one's catching him .
Apothecary was on to something because those were prob the type of scouts he was facing to .
It's hard to close in when they are using CR's and RR's , hell BP's and SP's even .

I have mine to 5 and can relate.
Especially pre 1.8 when CRs and RRs were OP, and I didn't have a cloak to hide when traveling in the open. Many of my deaths were sudden and unpreventable. Not to mention between Alpha and Charlie when Cal scouts could broadcast my position to heavies and there wasn't a thing I could do about it.
It is incredibly frustrating.

Minja must has Damp lv 5 and fit at least 1 - 2 damps on all suit.
Proto Gal or Amr can see undamp scout with out Precision Enhancers.

Dampening a Minmatar Scout is boring. Unless you have other scouts, you should use your speed, in my opinion.
To be invisible, I just use my Gallente Scout. Hell, even the Caldari Scout can be invisible since we have the same bonus (to my dislike). |

The problem with being a scout, and especially a Minja is that if you don't have dampening, range and precision all to 5 as well as biotics, and CPU/PG and scout skill maxed, you aren't viable.
Simple as that.
Balance is designed for scanning/dampening only at the top tier, which is bad, but it is what it is.
Meaning that lower tier players (SP wise) are really just ****** because they can get scanned by anyone with the proper skills, who also scans those with the proper investment of SP, because scanning is inherently stronger in this game, but can't dodge anything.
o7, keep going.

Coincidence that I'm know picking up the Min Light Frame M-I (Yeah, not scout).
Oh, I don't know many others who would stick with my fitting any longer than I already have, and I intend to pursue the way of the minja.

Was assault for a long time and then commando so I didn't need dampening.
Then with the MCC I took scout to 5 and precision, at the time I was running CR and didn't care to be scanned. Now that I am going for NK I see the need for lvl 5 damp
