Fun fact (Apparently HitIer is censored on here)
It's not the tanking or the Ewar even the strafing. It is the fact that scouts have some of the best early battlefield analysis tactics.
They see how many targets they are going to fight, what weapons the scout has, wether to flux or run in guns a'blazing and who to attack first.
They then get closer throw cloak and stalk and analyze what they are about to attack and plan what to do at that point comparing there weapons efficiency against there set targets, for example... I will never attack 2 or more heavies with HMG's. I will never attack 2 or more gal assaults or gal logis with over 600 HP and an AR or CR. I will never attack 4 or more MLT frames at once. I will try to avoid charging knives around anything ADV and up.
But enough with the sugar coated scout hatred thread...
The reason they hate us is because we fight dirtier than 2 HIV+ minmatar prostitutes in mud with rusted butter knives...
Scouts pick fights they know that they will statistically win.
we like weapons that can put stuff on there ass, our cloaks and Ewar advantage gets us close enough to use them as compared to an assault trying to close the gap between him and a heavy with a shotgun.
But I will avoid a group of people completely if I know I won't walk away. I hunt plasma food like minmi and caldari, I will happily challenge any advanced caldari or Minmitar MED-LHT suit in CQC with my AR and IoP. but even a basic gallente assault I will not go head to head without getting him from behind initially.
So next time you are killed by a scout look at where he got you from... 9/10 your flank... Just watch your six and pull out a pistol, they will shred a scout a new one.
Remember we can't push the front lines contrary to popular belief, so cheap, unfair, asymmetrical, dirty, backstabbing tactics are how we fight. So just remember basic tactics and hip fire accuracy can prevent most scout related injuries and deaths on the battlefield.

It is more like this
1st line is correct, unless it is an indoor map...drop the first one charge swipe then run away...charge swipe the second (usually only 1 swipe hits) then cqc it 2nd line is correct, but i would say never more than 2 assaults in general 3rd line is correct 4th line is completely incorrect unless you are using standard/advanced knives OR you meant to say +ì will try to avoid charging knive swipes around anything under ADV
But i think you mean head on knifing....i have used Ishokune's since 1.7 when moody was playing and most situations head-on knife attacks are fine.
And yess us scouts are quite the pu$$ies haha

You see... this is as it should be. Believe it or not none of my problems with scouts come from the scouts themselves.
they stem from two factors:
1: EWAR mechanics are toxic. They are utter crap in a bucket and are worthless to anyone except a scout.
2: the no-inertia strafing allows one to bypass hit detection. The hitbox is fine, the speed is fine, the strafe speed is fine, the weapons are fine and visually the cloak is fine. But the ability to change direction with no loss of momentum allows dancing between bullets of AR/RR/CR/HMG/etc to take little to no damage.
You can track a scout with any gun, even an HMG (unless the little bastard is in nova knife range, then he can outrun your turn speed) but when your reticle and his motion are moving in opposite directions (this is what invariuably happens when the inertialess strafe is abused) you maybe take a single bullet hit from hit detection even when the gun is a death vomit hell-spewer. this is easy to pull of in calassaults, minassaults and sentinels Vs. Blaster HAVs as well.
The scouts aren't the problem with the scouts. it is core mechanics that were built without thinking of the consequences TO the scouts, and the interplays between suits, weapons, vehicles and turrets. |

Nope its basic combo of Strafing speed and EWAR combined with shotgun.

Hmg heavy with a logi leash, red line sniping, tanking, roof top camping with a range weapon are still easier than scouting.
The only thing really harder than scouting right now is running an hmg or assault/logi slayer suits solo.

scouts are hated for more then fighting dirty.. they are too versitile when medium/assault/logi were supposed to be that role..
they got OP "wall hacks"
they are invisable to tacnet
they can be invisable to players
they can strafe soo fast we cant even hit them
they can still get 700 ehp and be too good.
they can carry 2 equipments.
caldari scout is the worst offender as it has bugged hitbox (smaller then other 3) and their 50hp/s regen on shield is too powerful when they get 400 shield and like 1sec to 3 sec downtime before it starts to regen which takes such a stupidly short time.
basically they are the ultimate slayer suit.. and this is reflected in PC battles where it is seemingly every one is scout with a few heavys and logi thrown in the mix for good measure

That is simply not true.
Don't believe me? Do like we did, and queue into a FW and test it.
The Cal Scout doesn't suffer from anything that other suits with a similar movement speed suffer from.
If there's a problem, it's not unique to the Cal Scout -- it's common to all fast-strafing suits (Gal Scout, Min Scout, Am Scout, and Min Assault) -- and the problem is exacerbated in situations of low frame rate and guns with slower fire rates (i.e. slower than a CR or HMG).
What's happening is there is a preponderence of Cal Scouts with lots of shield on the battlefield, and the hit detection challenges described above is being attributed to Cal Scouts when, in fact, it's true of all fast-moving suits. |

Well I don't run a SG or any really high alpha weapons accept occasionally a fit with ZN's as a sidearms
My normal fit is an exile AR, STD IoP, enhanced rep, enhanced cardio reg, enhanced ferroscale, enhanced precision amplifier, STD cloak and, STD nanohives and flux grenades.
it's moderately multi-role enough and has pretty good survivability.
Able to utilize long term battlefield engagement, keeping the edges of the map clean like CRU's, supply depots and stray uplinks. My friends and I call it "running the rims"
It makes true use of the scouts strong suits, only engaging 1 target at a time, utilizing Ewar, and actually making full use of the stamina bar and ammo conservation for the most part.
So when I say I am not engaging the heavier targets it is because I use plasma for one, and I don't tank any area of my scout.

You say you use 2 tanking mods out of the 5 slots avaible, then you say the underlined.... not sure which one to believe.
