I was talking to a friend today about," why Dust". There really is a hook, an addictive quality...a secret ingredient.
I think it's the Loss. Losing gear and clones...that acute pain you get...and of course the other side of the coin - that sense of joy at winning the encounter, fire fight, match.
It's the +50s mixed with the need to make more isk to replace the hurt
...

There's nothing else.
As much as I hate where this game ended up it's still better than the genric FPS trash that's out there.
I stick with single player games now because of it.
DUST 514 and EVE are the only multiplayer games I'll even touch now.
Now I did play MGO but they shut those servers down a while ago :(
CCP holds the Caldari's hand so this doesn't happen again.
