Can you please stop having smart deploy drop people here on the maps Orbital Artillery outpost and other maps with this city layout.
It may be hard to tell because of the building above it and the image quality, so I'll explain it and you should know what I mean. It is a platform under the building, raised up on the edge of the city, next to the CRU location, with a short little wall all around it.
It is not the case with every match, but the majority of the time it is a death trap. Unless your team is completely wiped out up there, you can never get off it. That stupid little wall is the problem. Light suits can jump over, medium suits have a hard time but eventually can, and heavies can not get over it at all. I heard a rumor that a Minmatar commando can make the jump, but I haven't seen it.
I know you cant change the map, so please just stop spawning us there. |

As Betthy has stated numerous times, the current Smart Deploy mechanic practically guarantees that the team with the first 16 deaths will lose because they're team will keep getting farmed and they'll never have a full team out on the field to fight back, and even if they did they'd just be farmed before they could even react.
To solve this, Smart Deploy needs to be changed to where it spawns you at an entirely different location that's significantly far away from the enemy (but not too far to the point where matches feel too stretched out).
For example, let's look at Manus Peak. One team, typically spawns at H8 while another spawns at H5. This too close as one team will eventually close in the distance and begin farming the other team because they're likely to spawn in that exact same spot. Instead of that, make one team spawn at H8 and make the other one spawn at E4.
That, and change the mechanic from "spawn where the most allies are" to "spawn at a location X distance away from hostiles", (X should be about 5-6 grid spaces, give or take).
This would make Ambush & Ambush OMS much more desirable for those not looking for a quick stat pad or are tired of facing vehicles, and would no longer become one of DUST's biggest jokes since the 2nd iteration of the Flaylock.

No No No No No. This isn't a post about the broken smart deploy, I'm not opening that can. This is a push to fix THAT spot, with it's evil little wall. |

How about we can chose where to spawn. You know, move your cursor and hit deply, spawn near enemy with a heavy, spawn away to snipe, spawn somewhere else to call a vehicle. Just don't let us spawn on top of buildings as everyone will start doing so. If you try to deply on top, it will spawn you to the closest point ON THE GROUND
Minmatar-assault combat rifle, flaylock pistol, tanked, quick. Before you know it..........your dead.......

I've spawned in that spot on a skirmish. Had to suicide to get out because of a guardrail my two year old nephew could casually step over.
Could someone please fix fatsuits so they can overcome barriers that do not at least achieve crotch height? |

People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change
