Just asking because I noticed quite a lot while meleeing snipers that when I hit them it the " Djoouf" sound appears with the damage and then they move a bit I melee but the sound when it hits their body isn't there, while the damage is.

I think it does according to the level of assist the weapon you're wielding at the moment has.
In other words, use a ScR or HMG to melee. Those are the weapons where I feel they have the most spoon feeding. |

According to my experiece no, but hir reg is gimped, sometime you clearly hit, but no damage is dealt, sometime you feel like you have missed and a random +50 just pops out.
