Or tanks could get ordinance capable of.....oh I don't know....fulfilling their role.......
Single shot, AoE, high velocity and range. Reload of between 5.2 and 10.5 seconds per shell. Slow tracking and verticality based on calibre of cannon being used........
Oh WarThunder Ground Forces... how I do so enjoy riding around in my Panzer Ausf VI (aka the Tiger) scoring penetrating hits on every tank within 250m, and partial crew failures at 750m.

what i suggested here is tank weapons are powerful against tanks and weak against infantry. at the same time not being vulnerable to infantry weapons. the same would be for infantry being powerful against infantry and weak against tanks, at the same time not being vulnerable to large tank weapons.
if players want balance then players on both sides are going to have to give up on something. we can't keep this buff nerf going forever. its never worked, it will never work ..... I think you misunderstand.
The purpose of a Tank..... or a heavily armoured vehicle is to be able to mechanicaly move and deploy ordinance that Infantry cannot easily carry without the time to entrench and break down their position....this being as I see it.
I am more than willing to be a military man or woman can correct me.
This means not just logically, as indicated by size, but by design the HAV should have the most devastating weapons system available to players in the game. A weapon that can fire long distance, single powerful shots designed to annihilate a vehicle, position, etc. This balanced out by longer reload times, lesser arcs of vertical fire, etc.
AND NEVER, EVER, EVER anything reminiscent of the Large Blaster Turret....... unless we want to talk 20mm cannon, the parallels of which that I have played with are poor against thick armour, and have very limited magazine capacities
Now I appreciate and support the application of powerful hand held anti vehicle weapons. A tank can be crippled if it's treads are damaged, if its ammunition stores are hit, even if its internal systems are damaged by impacts. As a result I am a firm believe that a vehicle in a game like Dust that waves of opportunity should exist, and that during such opportunities HAV should be durable, but not invincible, like wise when the wave has ended an HAV should be vulnerable to counter fire.
I am not talking about nerfs of buffs I am talking about complete redesign of a system that has for a long time be poorly presented.
As I've always said HAV in Dust just don't feel like tanks.
They are often times too fast, either wholly too durable (1.7) , and have never carried the appropriate weapons systems for their role. ( I mean goddamnitt no Railgun that ever existed, even the comparatively low tech ones we can make in this day and age have a capped range of 400m......)
