Its supposed to be better when hip firing. But it seems to be more accurate & does more damage when aiming. There is no point in using this gun. The RR is much better at hip firing & has a long range and larger clip size. The solution is :- More damage. More accuracy. But only 30-50 m range. |

That's DUST for you, I suppose.
It's not as bad as it used to be. I'm inclined to believe that it underperforms a little and in tougher matches I'd rather use other items, but I think myself too biased to properly look at numbers. I also doubt I could bring myself to make a proper thread either.
All four variants are viable weapons now. That's the main thing. They're not complete trash. While inferior in some ways to the RR, the breach does have a decent DPS edge and it has a quicker response time. As a result, it can compete somewhat viably, if not optimally.
The forums have ruined me.

Hmm... you guys tried the new breach? Seems pretty powerful.... course I can kill you with anything, really.
But nothing makes me smile more than seeing Sgt. Kirk own people with his PLC Mando. |

delta breach ar is the reason why the TAR has died off because TAR vs Breach.. the breach always wins

Breach is great for better rate of fire. You can get more hits on a running target with less shots and can gauge the shots rather than spool up every time between barrages.

Breach is firing fuller sized portions of plasma at a slower rate, its emphasis on accuracy comes from the lack of climb of dispersion mostly and the short nap time between shots allows users to retrain those shots back onto the target resulting in far more hits. It is the variant you can easily hold the trigger down and suffer very minimally for it making is more suitable for longer ranges than standard variants.
Tactical at my current level of sharpshooter is just way too inaccurate even when ADS to be useful.

TAC PR is where it needs to be right now. If one thing could be changed, I'd increase the Optimal Range by a hair.
Breach PR is exactly where it needs to be. I wouldn't touch a thing. This weapon is Sgt Kirk approved
Burst PR to me is lacking, while the 4 shot burst improvement helped it a lot the range on it is still undesireable when compared to it's DPS. I wouldn't touch the range on it but I will shorten the firing delay on the weapon to make it the CQC Burst it's supposed to be.
Assault Plasma Rifle is so close what to where it needs to be any yet still, I don't know what can be done. It wrecks shields but has trouble with armor. Not many other main rifles behave like this and I think that is the problems with most rifles. They tear through both damage profiles indistinguishably.
CCP holds the Caldari's hand so this doesn't happen again.

I am sure with sharpshooter 3 or higher would probably fix the crap out of it to acceptable levels and using it on assault would be a world of a difference.
Every assault rifle skill for me is 5, and the tactical assault rifle has far more accuracy when ADS than the breach AR, but the hipfire of the tactical AR is more dispersed than the breach AR. Still with the sharpshooter skill at V, any assault rifle will have around 100% effective range up until 70-80 metres
They need a nerf on the kick of the tactical AR..
