My Templar STD one isn't getting me past 30/0 games. I demand an ADV Variant BPO to my Heavy Suit so I may bypass the only cool part of this game - taking peoples stuff away from them. When people kill me they should feel nothing, because I lose nothing.
Actually, can you go ahead and make a variant for all items and make them BPO for us to buy?
And sell SP - 10 bucks = 500,000 SP.
Oh, oh, oh~
And release the ADV/Proto tanks. But as BPO's - 100 bucks each.
What else can we do to destroy the only interesting part of this game left? |

BPO's ruin this game, they take away the meaning and value that gave this game a spice no other game has.
But beyond that, they ruin the economy of the game further then what PC did, at least with PC you had to work your way up to that point, BPO's give you instant satisfaction.
BPO's should be REMOVED from the game - not more added. It's absurd that a game like this can be considered commercially launched. I want my Merc Pack money back, this game aint commercial launched. |

I wish you could have shop or something to customize what your dropsuits/weapons look like.
But then again, some troll would customize his standard heavy to look like a proto, and strike fear into hearts of pub noobs.

last month i went 58/9 with templar sentinel and standard hmg with no skills invested in amarr sentinel
suit was fitted with a militita plate and 2 militia repairers
I'm not by any means a good player, only started in february
I'm sure if you fitted your templar sentinel with 3 cmplx plates and ran with a logi, you could kick ass, and if you have level 3 skills in hmg then maybe fit a steelmine boundless and go to town
but no way should there be adv or proto bpo's |

"Economy"
Saying that Dust has an economy is a huge over exaggeration. Sure, it technically does, but it doesn't really play any large effect on the balance of the game, and people saving a few thousand ISK per match with a suit BPO isn't really as big of a deal as you make it out to be. |

BPO - you buy them for looks? For what? When Open Beta came out - that would of made sense to me. Before each match you'd chill on Warbarge with the others, chat a bit, enjoy the different/same avatars.
But now there's almost no time spent there to show off what you have - so why are you buying BPOs with real life money? |

choosing our own color schemes through BPO's are a fun and relatively harmless way for players to further relate to their characters, and for CCP to make a little bit of money.
Also Rattati and his crew are still devoting an immense amount of time to things other than BPO's so they haven't given up on Dust either.

Dust has limited resources, they have to micromanage this entire games development with a much smaller team then they had originally planned. For every time CCP puts effort onto "BPO" is another month, 2 months, possibly more, that content and improvements are taken from you.
There is no separate teams working on separate things, here. When they work on one thing another thing will not be. Stop, Asking, For, BPOs. CCP will be more then willing to listen since it means $$$ for them - but it's exactly what this game DOESN'T need. |

No, we've been down this route. What we got is Legion. Though, I doubt Dust ever made enough to cover it's own production costs. And likely never will until they add meaningful content to this game and fix the only real game mode that would attract people to play - Planetary Conquest.
These things need to be tweaked, not even fixed, to be much greater then they are. |

Explain to me exactly how purchasable BPOs are bad when every character in the game comes with a free BPO. Starter Fits. The purchasable ones are just variety, as they effectively add nothing the player doesn't already have. A player with a suit BPO has no real advantage over one without a BPO other than variety. The "economy" that you seem so adamant about protecting has been worthless from the beginning because of everyones own personal ISK Faucet, Starter Fits. In fact starter fits are even more ISK efficient than any purchasable BPO, and have infinitely more of an effect on the "economy" than purchasable BPOs due to them being 100% free and fully fitted.

BPO's ARE new content. just throwing that out.
And just because we're asking CCP for more BPO's doesn't mean we're getting them or even expecting them to deliver. It's the equivalent of a kid asking her dad for ice cream every time they go out. Her dad's not going to buy her any, but, if later on he wants to give her something nice, he knows she wants ice cream.
You make it sound like we're at their office doors with pitch forks and torches. Also, where did you read that BPO's take 2 months or more to implement? I would be more than surprised if it even took 2 weeks. And Finally, Rattati is smart enough to balance all of his responsibilities. He's not going to throw everything down the drain just to pump out BPO's.
So let us have our fun, and if you want to help out CCP, go buy a BPO or two.

And it takes CCP a month + to do anything. Ask the PC side of this community how fast CCP fixes game breaking bugs, even ones used in tournaments to name a planet that goes on for a month.
And CCP has already made a showing in talking about BPO's. And this community needs to tell them to STOP. Go work on a new game mode - I'm sort of done with Skirm after 3 years, and there's no other modes I can hide too that isn't just a Skrim on alcohol. |

CCP aren't doing any client updates, and that is why we don't have any new content lately. Since game balance is finally ironing out, and real content can't be added without a client update, they had some time to make some BPOs for us. |
