Turn your speakers up, Listen,,, then you hear the bolt pistol spool up. Move to the sides.. he'll miss every shot unless you have a crazy armor plates.
Seams to be the best defense for the Bolt Pistol. Seams like everyone is over confident with the Bolt pistol right now so if you don't get surprised you can smack that dude right in the face.
Rarely I'll get killed by it by not knowing which direction it's coming from and take a hit or two.
I know lots of people are having problems adapting to the new weapon so hopefully this helps a few people.

Just make the hipfire bad.
Weapon is still a long range power house while making it bad at CQC much like the sniper rifle.

If I see a bolt pistol shot coming, they stand little chance of killing me unless I'm in the wide open.
The ones that kill me are the ones I don't see and they're able to get a shot or two off before I can react in my paper-thin scout suit. |

The delay between shots is very exploitable outside of Long ranges, allowing for anyone who isn't bricking their suits to jump to the side, causing them to miss their shots.
CQC only works against people who are very slow and/or can't strafe competently.

We have the ability to strafe and jump around for a reason. I was going against another bol pistol user the other day. I jumped away from the first shot, shot him in the chest. He hits me, I run around him and knife him.
Bolt Pistol is easy to counter because of the slow rate of fire.

Yes except for the part where things on screen are happening one whole second after it happened. In which case anything that doen't give you a chance to react is bull.
