I recently speced into the Combat Rifle Operation (Level 4 right now, I might get to 5 and maybe some profiencency) and of these guns, only the BK-42 ACR was the gun worth speccing in the WHOLE CR Operation skill tree. For atleast the most part... I guess?
I have started to use it with the MLT Ammar Medium fit, and even though the dropsuit is a MLT, it still kicks major @$$. This is, if I always have some sort of cover. This is the fit:
MLT Ammar Medium
Basic shield(?) (1 or 2, I don't remember).
BK-42 ACR
Breach SMG
STD Scanner
Profile Dampener(?) or the thing that reduces recharge rate by 15%
So far, the BP, BK-42 ACR and the Breach SMG are the only ones worth getting. If you're new to the game, of course.
Even on MLT Dropsuits, it can kick @$$.

The module that reduces your recharge rate is called a Shield Regulator. You should switch that out for some armor plates.

You should get a STD Medium Frame.
Even if it's just the Basic Frame, it'll do you much better as you have more slots and CPU/PG. But I'm glad to see that you found a weapon combo you can work well with.

As somebody who swears by the Combat Rifle, you'll wanna get that skill tree skilled up all the way. It's a great little gun, man. I would suggest skilling into the MagSec SMG in conjunction with the BK ACR, instead of the Breach SMG. That's my personal opinion though. |

you should train for minmatar assault, that clip size bonus is well worth if you end up against multiple targets. |

Just finished getting prof 5. Everything else is at 4 for now except for optimization.
Ammo next then reload. Sharpshooter 5 will be last.
Min for the win.
Now we just need the min bonus to apply to MD and Flaylock.
