The heck is with your payout system, CCP? And why does it reward more for a few measly kills in ambush than it does for 20+ in other game modes?

Nova Knives are best sidearm.

Then spend the money on other matches in expensive gear. I usually run starter fits in Ambush too just for the pay check. It's a meat grinder anyway. The dirty little secret of DUST is that there is no material gain to be derived from "winning". Pride is the only thing you fight for. This is the unfortunate truth. I have read posts from players over the months that claim you get more ISK from winning but I have never seen it and don't believe it. I play every day. I don't need anyone to tell me how things are. Once I realized this, I stopped throwing away suits rushing the objective alone into a hell storm of bullets time after time trying to win when I was new. Now a little wiser, I pick my spots very selectively since I play solo, or I just look for someone to shoot. I have much more fun as a result. Wisdom is what you gain after you need it.

My proto suits have nothing to do with the isk I make, neither does winning. There is a direct correlation between how well you perform (past a certain threshold) and how much you get. The enemy team was proto'd out and I understand being scared, it happened to me once, I pulled the parachute and it was over, but I understand the feeling.
