CCP Rattati, is there a possibility of the redline timer finally being fixed? Often times when I sprint into the redline to chase a sniper, my timer seems to be inaccurate. Each second delays by about 0.5 to 0.7 seconds and that will give me a false impression that I have enough time in the redline still but in reality I don't. If the timer says I have 5 seconds left to get out of the redline then I should have exactly 5 seconds left. I shouldn't be committing suicide right then and there when I still have 5 seconds left.

Died with 7 a seconds left twice yesterday.
i believe this to be caused by the hdd, as when you have a crappy hdd, when searching for battle, the shown times will be different |

The shown times were indeed different when my old HDD was dying. However, my new HDD works flawlessly and the redline timer still lies to me so I doubt that's the cause. |

I think vehicles should have a shorter time since they can get in and out faster.
Ishukone Nova Knifes cut thought heavies like butter.

Since we are on the subject, I think if the timer is busted, fix it.
Now... I feel the hate coming...
I feel the redline timer should be cut to 10 seconds instead of 20. That 20 second thing is quite a bit of time... Way to much honestly... I don't feel that there is ANY reason to be out in thre redline that long.
I am Caldari, but that does not mean I support our alliance with the Amarr..

Maybe for vehicles, but I don't see any need for the reduction to be imposed on infantry. Remember that only the Scout Mk.0 fitted with all 3 Complex Kinetic Catalyzers can effectively sprint far enough into the redline to even catch anyone there. And once you're two football fields in, you suicide and you lost a very expensive suit. All other suits suffer slower speeds even for scouts who are NOT proto Minscouts. Therefore it's balanced enough for infantry. But again, I can understand the need to reduce the timer for vehicles entering the redline since they are pretty damn fast after all.

Yes, but that's not the point.
The point is that the redline is not suppose to be glitched. Many players have complained about suiciding in the redline when the timer said they still have "X" seconds remaining.

Heres a solution, use a gun to shoot snipers instead of chasing them or just avoid running into the red line in general. |
