So the sidearm event has kicked off and half the population is running around with rail rifles and HMGs. most of the offenders from what i can see is comeing from the latino population as we have still a large amount of heavys with rail rifles. just to be clear in order to get extra SP during this event you must kill your enemy with a sidearm bolt pistol, ion pistol, smg, magsec, nova knives ect. if someone can translate this information in a bunch of different languages that would be very helpful.

Well technically I do think any sidearm of any kind counts for the bonus SP. Its just that only militia sidearms count for the kills towards officer weapon naming if I have my information correct.

It counts for the SP but will not count for the naming (bragging) rights of the weapon, that is if I understood it correctly. |

Yeah... I'll be one of those who will use non-militia sidearms, considering I'm not going to be able to play anywhere near enough in one day to even remotely win the officer challenge, so I'll be sticking to the proper sidearms simply for teh lulz and for the SP.

Ah, if that's the case they can do it but what's the fun in not trying to compete....oh yeah SP I don't even need SP anymore so I completely forgot that people needed it for a second.

Thanks to the MCC there are plenty of people that probably do not care about 750,000 more SP. Even more probably are just assuming its another regular naming event and totally overlooking it.
I am still trying to decide if I really want to grind out another weekend event myself. |

Yeah, I'm going to say they just don't care. If I didn't want to name the nova knives (not going to happen but I shall try) I wouldn't care either.

Seriously though, I ran into a person that not only didn't know than Legion was "essentially" replacing DUST but thought the Commando event was still going on.
There are some people out there.....It's like I'm playing Fallout and I have on the Wacky Wasteland Adventure trait.
