It's tough to fit on anything other than a Scout.
Scout Role Bonus gives you a fitting reduction per level. Once you get to Scout Level 3 or 4, you'll be able to fit a Basic Cloak on an X/1 series. Once you get to Scout Level 5, you'll be able to fit Basic Cloak on a X-1 series.

It is only worth it on a scout. It's hard to fit on other suits, and more importantly you will be passively scanned on any other suit. This means your body will be invisible but there will be an arrow above your head alerting everyone to your presence.
You can't fight in here! This is the war room.

None cause it does not make you invisible and will leave you with a ****** fit thanks to the fitting requirements.
Also on any suit besides a scout you will likely still have a red arrow above your head if you are in a match with anyone that has a scout. |

Just to reiterate what pretty much everyone else will tell you - put it on a scout. You can put it on other suits but the pg/cpu requirements will make putting anything else useful on the suit impossible.
The scout gets special bonus points that make fitting a cloak less costly. If you're determined to use a cloak (and it isn't an easy mode or anything like that) then you might want to skill into scout suits up to 3. Get the Advanced scout then put a standard cloak on it. You should then be able to fit a decent advanced weapon and a bunch of other interesting stuff to make you quicker, stronger or more likely to win WP during a match.
The cloak only really works efficiently if you are already playing like a ninja - running round the outskirts, hacking objectives and creeping up on those who aren't paying attention.
Good luck! Would love to hear how it goes..

That's a good idea.
Understand, however, that your STD and ADV suits will be gimped until you get the suit to proto level because of the cloak fitting bonus common to all racial scout suits. |
