If it is not deleted yet that is. Though as large as this story is getting (its on forbes now) deleting it would be a bad move.
Thoughts? Reactions? Could Bungie handle this better?

Well I think it's safe to say that Destiny gets the "controversial game of the year" award.

I think things like this happen often with big ideas.
Dust has had its share of issues, this happens in the movie and TV industry as well. Just look at the Arrested Development Season 4. Suddenly, they were forced to work around actors that had moved on and had successful shows elsewhere that couldn't all be in one place at one time. It was good, but it lacked with the first 3 seasons had.
This is also what happens when top management, who often don't fully understand the creatives and make oversimplified conclusions off of complex data, step in and muck things up.
I just want to know who Joe is, and why he left us all hanging.
The reality is that managing a large task with lots of people is difficult, and rarely gets pulled off well. We should always adjust our expectations.

So far Bungie might be flailing a little bit, but they aren't shady.
CCP is shady as **** now.
Much like when dust was first struggling I was rooting them on and engaged. Then they dropped every ball and began behaving horribly to their best customers.
Bungie has yet to do that. Maybe one day they will. But until that day, CCP is easily the most untrustworthy dev outfit I've ever seen outside of scammy kickstarter games that never came to be.
Until bungie starts using microtransactions in an unethical way (see the last fanfest) and then leaving most of their consumer base that poured money into their mismanaged project out in the cold by switching to another platform altogether, it will be extremely hard to take you seriously, IWS.
TL;DR Bungie may just be having a rocky start. Dust is a verified con job.

Joe was like a lead creative writer, he left bungie for EA some months back.

Not trying to compare apples to oranges.
But heres me doing comparisons
The AMA post is very very very similar to something the OLD bungie would have put out after Destiny's launch. The Old Bungie was proud of not of the products but what the name of that company means to its customers. The idea of bungie was more about the people in it and less about game they made. While they did blackbox development bungie for the longest of times had have beginnings of pioneering customers as things you listened to when it came to improving their games. The Old Bungie would have apologized for making a shittily terrible game experience, which this game they did apologize for was very well received and hailed as a hallmark example on progressing the field. The Old Bungie would have not let a game like that launch so either incomplete or unthoughtful on its content delivery. The Old Bungie would have invited you to go on a journey with them and you followed them all the way because the journey was for all intents and purpose something you'd would want to go on.
This new bungie... I don't know they're strangers to me I don't know these guys. They're not Bungie they're a different company that occupied its skin. They're flabberghasted by consumer complaints and are genuinely surprised They're not bold. They believe their own hype will develop the game. and right now they're acting almost no better than the guy Sega is sueing for advertising aliens colonial marines despite repeated STAHP! requests from the company.

Why the heck would EA give a crap about creativity? Their top sellers are Fifa( a sports game) Madden( another sports game) and BF4 a primarily online pvp shooter?
So Bungie messed up? Who cares? Name one developer or publisher that has not dropped the ball in some fashion?
Zipper made Socom which was great and MAG which started off fine. They then broke MAG and the last Socom was just terrible.
Activision and Infinity Ward made COD4, then they proceeded to muck it up with MW2, MW3, BO2 and yikes, Ghosts.
Killzone and KZ2 were great. KZ3 and shadowfall not so much.
The list goes on and on and not even IWS precious CCP is immune to it. See the fan fest debacle.

Reading that makes me sad.
Destiny could and should of been amazing, just, as he said, mistakes were made.

This is true companies botch things up all the time; the question is what they do to learn from it?

Alas, IWS, they do not seem to learn anything. We keep buying their crap. I have since limited my game purchases. I almost never buy DLC now for anything. If I do get dlc for destiny, it will be only to play with my bros otherwise, the game is just meh.

Rockstar is a good example here. GTA4 basically sucked.
GTA5 is amazing.
GTA online had a super horrible launch. Here we are a year later, and GTA Online is a lot more fun. They've listened to their customers, and albeit slowly, they steadily improved things. All with free DLC. They implemented changes asked for by the community AND thought outside the box and delivered great changes no one even thought of. That is awesome as ****!
Once it comes out on the PS4, and heists finally come to fruition I'd point R* out as the developer everyone should try to emulate presently.
Bungie has definitely disappointed everyone with Destiny. And to be honest, I'd be done with the game form boredom were it not so fun to play with friends. Currently, I have a small crew of people I met via games and we are having a great time together. If you can get a smart fun crew together that game becomes a lot more intense and fun. The other night me and one other duo'd the nightfall strike as two hunters. It was epic and fun. Only took us two tries too. Even so, due to lack of content and repetitive matches and what not are looming. It will get stale.
CCP, however, I have begun to equate with sleazy where it used to just be incompetence. I don't even think it would be possible to repair that impression. Yea.. they may retain the same customers to an extent because they are so invested, but good luck growing your product thus profit. Just ask CCPs accounting staff. They can no doubt confirm (this is a trick confirmation- we all have seen the numbers they have been losing money big time so it's indisputable fact).

Agreed. The only reason destiny gets as much face time as it does is because of my bros. If all my peeps have full fire teams, I simply log off and go play or do something else. I am over destiny. Bungie failed. They used to have great story modes on halo, this one felt like it was a trilogy jammed into a 30 minute cartoon.
