My fit right now is a standard Minmatar scout suit. I am not currently on my PS3 and I can't really check my fits, so I'm sorry if I made a mistake.
The fit, as I remember, is like this:
STD Minmatar Scout
-Basic Shield Extender (I think)
-Militia Shotgun -ADV Nova Knives
-Cloak Field
-Basic PG Upgrade -Basic CPU Upgrade
What do you think about it? (Considering I'm still at a STD Scout level.)

What do you think about it? (Considering I'm still at a STD Scout level.) First, I wouldn't run shotgun AND NKs. Both are very short range weapons, and anything outside of 10 m will kill you.
Or backpedalers.
Choose which one you want to go with, and pick up an SMG or Scrambler Pistol for your back up. Those have longer ranges, and can serve as clean up when your shotgun gets out of range.
If you are only at a std level, I don't know how much that cloak helps. It eats up your available fitting, and barely gives any benefit. Cloaks really only become viable once you get to level 4 on your Minja.
I understand the desire for a cloak on a Minmatar suit given how squishy they are and how easily it is for someone to spot you in the open and shoot, but I think it is weighing you down at the moment.
I would also suggest skilling into damps before you skill up your Minmatar Scout much further. Dampening is a must for scouts, and if you aren't dampened, there is not much you can do. Even when cloaked, you will have a red chevron over your head if someone can scan you passively.
Also, don't run ambushes (unless using starter fits). In my recent experience running them with a very bare bones minja, you can't do squat. Run Skirmishes and learn to skirt the field and hack CRUs, objectives, and installations. Pick and choose your battles the best you can. I think you will be more successful this way.
Good luck.
P.S. Now that LP payout has increased a lot, consider running Factional Warfare and getting some LP gear that have lower skill requirements. This will help offset whatever lack of SP you have and reduce your disadvantage.

I only use that fit on Skirmish/Domination matches, on Ambush I use either a heavy or a medic fit, since they really rack points up easily. The reason I don't have ADV suits/items is because I'm still a newb, and I am keeping atleast ALWAYS 1 million SP (So I have a lot to waste incase I made a mistake). I am thinking in getting ADV Cloak, but it CAN'T run on a STD Minmatar suit. Nor a STD Gallente suit as well. As for the ScR Pistol or SMG, I'll change as soon as possible.

Really, running a scout fit, most things are of benefit. It is one of the most SP intensive roles in the game.
If you got adv cloak before you got adv Minja or Complex dampeners, you would be doing yourself a disservice.
And again, that cloak does nothing if your scan profile is too high. Other scouts can scan you with their precision, and share that information with heavies and mediums on tacnet within squad. As a result, even if you are cloaked, they will know exactly where you are.
If you max your dampening skills, and fit complex dampeners instead of a cloak, people may see you if you don't use cover, but if you use cover, they won't see you coming.
As a general rule, Core Skills like Electronics and Engineering are the most important to skill into. This is particularly important for minmatar scouts. If I were you, I would spend that SP on Dampening, Engineering, then Electronics before spending on anything else.

Hi,
One Eyed King already gave you solid advice, so I will concentrate on my own views.
I run a similar scout variant (or actually 2), although I run an ADV Galente suit. I split my Nova Knife and Shotgun suits up in 2 separate ones, as they indeed do not pair well together. In your case I would advise to do the same. Make 2 similar fits and pair the SG with an SMG on one and pair the Knives with a rifle (your preference, I'd go for Combat or Assault) on the other.
Like One Eyed King said your cloak eats up an enormous ammount of your CPU and PG, but doesn't give you much added invisibility. l'd suggest ditching the cloak for Remotes (briljant for taking on heavies) and using the gained CPU and PG to change you fitting mods for a dampner and cardiac regulator (or a second dampner).
Try it out. See how it runs and decide for your own. Happy hunting!

What do you think about it? (Considering I'm still at a STD Scout level.) Dont use nova knives with shotgun. You really limmit your range. As a new player I would choose one or the other then go with a pistol or smg as a backup for either. I would work on dropsuit engineering and electronics so you can eventually replace those pg and cpu upgrades with profile dampeners. |

If you loose you get **** for a payout, and you will go against more experienced players rhus lowering your chance at victory. |
