Shinobi MumyoSakanagare ZaShigurui Kyoudai Furinkazan 1227	Posted - 2014.09.30 17:44:00 - [1] - Quote It's time that we talk about skill point refunds and the mechanism that will result in such and not at the end of the hot fixes because , what good would that do ..??.. and I for one , would like to play in that environment for a while and increase my playing time threw being excited about what's now that wasn't before and that's a chance to create a character that I feel represents me and my contribution to New Eden and the efforts of sweat , blood and lives that are given in the name of Dust 514 and the ideal's that were and will be in the name of legion but I won't be going on that voyage because of the movement from console . I would love to experience burnout because I play Dust and Dust only but now that's not happening because of the stale feeling that I get while playing . Yes , this game has jumped ... leaps and bounds from the mismanaged and unbalanced fiasco that was and there's a lot to be done and improvements to make threw the terrain changes that need to be made , from players not being able to jump a inch to getting stuck in a crevice , not being able to climb and getting stuck on a wall trying to turn a corner or not being able to make it up an incline for some reason that's unknown . I would love to feel that I had a hand in the creation of my character and no matter of many skill point events ( which are rehashed themselves ) could negate that feeling of having skill points in items and places that are of no importance because of directional changes in the make up of the game or threw rebalancing issues . It's not a given but it has an impact of the mood of many in the community and their approach to this game and the time that they spend playing it . This should be addressed and not by the community saying if they agree or not because that means nothing , it must be addressed by the powers that be and made known to those who are interested in such a happening because time is important and adults address issues and this is an issue . Many would like a refund and have made their cases and voices known . Some have blown issues and situations out of proportion but that shouldn't have an effect on those who's interest is purely for the increase in interest and fun while in game . It's time for those who are interested to stake your claim and make your voice known . Delta should come with a SP or infantry SP refund so that a campaign for one is not needed .

It's that feeling that made me leave c-RPG Mount and Blade: Warband after years and years of playing it. You don't need a refund to do that. There are more militia weapons than ever on the market so you can try something new without spending a single SP.

OR specced vehicles which are balanced now. But that is part of living with the decisions you have made.
Ghosts Chance Inf4m0us 2283	Posted - 2014.09.30 18:29:00 - [6] - Quote honestly the most compelling reason for any sort of SP refund is simply use it as a source of income, the game has entered into its twilight so to speak, this is for better or worse as closed to a finished product as its going to get and at this point AUR to buy SP gear or boosters alone will not be able to support this games servers and pay sony for as long as we would like. it makes financial sence to sell skillpoint refunds, as this both increases legion development funds and ensures that there is an attractive option for spending more and more money on this game as the months and (hopefully years) tick by. It also makes sence from a legion point of view as well as currently you will recivie equivilant unspend SP upon transfering a character over to the new platform if and when it releases assuming transfers are an option at that time. i honestly think the biggest hurddle at this point is the technical side of things, in the past refunding player SP hasnt been an easy task and is oftin done manually in batches and automating this process to coincide with PSN store/AUR purchases is going to be the real challenge assuming they implement such a thing.. but from a financial standpoint the game is in a place now where having a buyable SP refund is an attractive option to have for both the players and the developers. the real question is weather they can make it possable on the tech side of things. and how long deploying that to tranquility would take, as the income generated from it would definatly exceed the cost of paying sony their mafia styled protection fees Minmatar is Winmatar Creed of the Minja - "I'm a leaf on the wind" I am Chances Ghost

The people clamoring for a respec always say "I have a ton of SP i don't use, letting me reallocate it would make it fun again" Except it won't, because they just want to LVL 5 everything the currently have to 3 or 4. Can almost guarantee that OP hasn't used a militia weapon that's been released recently because its probably "beneath him" On the other hand, I have more SP than I know what to do with ~50 mil used up and I still run a blueprint suit and have fun with LOLfits to keep the game interesting, instead of complaining about reallocating all my vehicle SP since the Delta nerf.

Then it was " Holy crap, it will take me forever to get my knives to Lvl 5 ". Same for Speed, Hacking, Mybrofils, all of my Ewar, and weapons. 1 yr later - I am lvl 5 in all of them. I still have things to put to Lvl 5 (Engineering and CPU, Shields and Armor) Lvl 5 in quite a few weapons and side arms as well. At this point, I could care less for a respec - I would just put it all into the same things. If I had to do it all over again - I would put ALL of my points solely into Dropsuit Upgrades, then follow up with the suit, and weapons. As it stands, the way I went about it has caused me to be a jack of all trades. I have no complaints. I stand at 27m in total SP - 4 of which were specifically from the the million clone challenges (both of them), as well as 750 k SP for the Shinboto (forgot the name ....it was the Nova Knife/ Heavy challange) Not to mention the various triple SP weeks (I missed out on one of them due to a vacation ). I guess my entire point is - when you put the time in, you get rewarded. How you spend the SP is up to you. There is no need for a respect when you can EASILY make 210k per week just logging on and playing a couple games a day.
