Mode operandi is a bit weird enough as is that is almost a tactical version by default (though breach has its dna in it; the rifle is very much more capable of having a breach variant than a tactical one)
more damage, and more range. all tactical variants are semi auto and feature highest damage per shot and the most range. |

A nice "Marksman" weapon, high alpha, horrible DPS, amazing range, low ammunition count and likely only around 9 discharges per magazine. Also to make things interesting and skill-based, increase from a 300ms spool-up time to a 500ms spool-up time. Also while we are daydreaming, how about a real "Breach" Massdriver, possibly heavy weapon, increase range to 200 meters, magazine size 4 rounds, 12 rounds total, blast radius 8 meter splash, direct hit damage 230, splash 210, projectile velocity two-thirds what the old plasma was, increase arc substantially for indirect-fire capabilities, requires a 3 second charge-up time, can not move while charging. BOOM now you have a Minnie Mortar
thats not a viable weapon in any way, and is overshadowed by sniper rifles that have have better DPS, high alpha, amazing range, low ammo count, and small clip sizes
tact RR would need to be lower range, low alpha, higher DPS, and bigger clip size than a sniper rifle, while having higher alpha and range than a regular rail rifle |
