So I have collected data on the "New" and "Improved" Plasma Cannon and the it still doesn't live up to its standards as an AV or AI weapon. And here I suggest that the drop for the Plasma bullet is lowered a tiny bit. Now I enjoy being one of the only to use the Plasma Cannon so please CCP do not do what you usually do (Making something that's crap extremely OP). Heres what I suggest, make the Plasma Bullet travel just a slight bit more straight. I have collected data but I have it written somewhere else. I will post the data collected below when I get around to it.

Well, if its going to be AV, I want it devoted to AV. If its going to be AI I want it devoted to AI. 1 or the other , but its weak in both currently.

In order to fire 2 Plasma Bullets at a Tank with a maximum of 3003 HP (Direct) It would take 4.60 Seconds. To get about the same amount of damage (3320 HP) Out of a Swarm, it would take but 3 Seconds, requiring less skill in the shot and less time. Now most people would ask me, why use the Plasma Cannon when you can use the Swarm or a Mass Driver? That's up to you CCP
Now I do not believe that we should increase the speed of the Plasma to make it as fast as the Swarm but I ask that it be more direct when firing. Also, where as the swarm has to be pointing in the general direction, the Plasma Cannons drop has to be calculated and executed while still holding a steady aim on the target.

Yea seriously the PLC is really good right now. Don't touch a thing. If you are having trouble with the PLC remember two things:
1. In terms of AV it is an anti-shield based weapon so treat it as such and see its raw power in that way (Rapes shield tanks, not so good vs armour tanks)
2. It is a skill shot weapon primarily so try using it on different suits, try getting good with your aiming before saying it needs more because you will soon see the weapon is great once you get to grips with it.

See that is where you are so far from the truth that I know straight away that you do NOT speak for the majority of Plasma Cannon users.
It is an all around weapon engineered towards anti-shield capabilities but its strong vs ALL infantry units. Please dude go and use the weapon some more and then come back here.

The only reason to use a PLC is for the Lolz. That's about it, but honestly it's really fun to use

Without your apparent data, I still believe the plasma cannon is in excellent position. Then again, I use a dual plasma cannon commando for my AV class. |

I'm sorry, but I've used the PLC since it was introduced and I can't see giving any more buffs.
The only change I'd like to see to the weapon is fixing the sometimes wonky nature.

I have been using the weapon since I joined Dust. Not saying that it matters but my Plasma Cannon skill tree is capped out. Maybe I have a different view on the weapon than others but doesn't make it invalid.

Yes, it's a shield weapon it wrecks shields and is a bit slower on armor as intended and no you aren't one of the only ones that use it. Especially now where you can notice the popularity of Plasma Cannons going up.
The weapon works well vs AV and can also kill infantry if you become familiar with it, leave it alone, don't touch it anytime soon.
