Tried Ion Pistol in earnest today, militia version. I'm looking to hang up the smg and find something more interesting to use.
Love the rof but the hipfire is pure suxorz.
Perhaps sharpshooter would help but why bother; there's the scrambler and bolt pistols to play with, I'd rather spend my sp there.
Cut the hipfire reticle in half so maybe I can land a shot without aiming down sight and I'll try it again.

You have to be up in your opponents' faces and make sure their bodies fill up the crosshairs. Once you have that covered, spam the trigger like there is no tomorrow. I played two games so far and I went positive in both. |

I just want to say as someone who has used the Bolt Pistol heavily both original and the new Magnum version, it really is not a replacement for the SMG at all, a different tool of sorts. The Ion Pistol and Scrambler are probably better choices for replacements, the BP is best for a hand-cannon situation when you need to seudo-snipe someone when your main weapon won't do the trick.

I guess the only question left is if you can shoot scout with yes, can you shoot scout with nope?

What you describe in the bolt pistol is exactly what I'm looking for. I don't want similar to smg, I want different. I've tried the BP and really enjoyed it. I'm only worried they are going to nerf it as soon as i spec it.

Honestly it was always a gorgeous weapon, even before the buffs, I wouldn't worry about it as even if they totally remove the headshot bonus or lower the damage it will be great.
