There are turrets and supply depots in OMS so AV is far more possible. I just wish we were able to choose between regular and OMS since I hate OMS when the first thing I see on the spawn screen is a RDV carrying a tank. |

In beta we did have a choice. Why they eliminated it I'll never know.

I think I have my theory about it: the period when they merged was a period were Dust was having a big lack of players. So I believe they thought that it would make matchmaking even longer by keeping them apart.
Now, if they separate them again, I'm 100% sure that noone will ever play OMS ambush as, despite turrets and supply depot, vehicles in ambush are so damn boring..

I haven't seen them as a huge problem in OMS in any of the OMS matches I've been in. I am guessing in part because dedicated vehicle drivers are less likely to queue for Ambush since they have a 50/50 chance of being able to use vehicles in it.

There once was a time when my good friend duna2002 would Russian Bear stomp regular ambush. Those times are gone, the compromise of having only 2 vehicles per team in OMS is fine.
I really would not want to push vehicles away any more, what with the anti vehicular CPM we have right now..... vehicle pilots need all the help they can get.

They removed it sometime during Uprising 1.5, I think. |
