Indeed. My maniacal laughter as I slay crowds is usually cut by the clicking my gun does after 3 seconds. Though, maybe this is a good thing. The TAC should definitely have some sort of downsides, lest it be beat into obscurity again. |

The limited range, awful ACOG sight, and amount of kick while ADS firing still keep me from using the TacAR.
It is now less awful than it was but still not on par with the rest of the rifles. At least everytime I use it I have the feeling one of the other rifles would be more suitable for the job.

Tac AR is now in better position. It does even beat ScR in dps (Same dmg,rof but better profiles). While aiming it have 0 kick.
And 18 is egnougt.

Are you guys who are poo-pooing the TAR using it on a Gal Assault or on another sult?
I have been using it on the Gal Assault and I have almost 0 dispersion or recoil. Heck, I can even rock people at close range with it hip firing. I could see it being much worse without the dispersion bonuses.
Now with more evil.

The TAR is noticeably better, but the ScR still feels superior in every way.

I don't have Gallente assault and the TAR seems like a lot of fun, but I think that bonus would make all the difference for hip firing.
I see the CR as kind of a better option....but not sure. It has 600m less effective but it blaps at close range with minimal dispersion. It has great range and a good scope, but the kick is really randomly popping off in every direction, especially laterally. That can make it tough to keep the crosshairs on guys at range, because you need to rapid fire it to finish fools.
The TAR on the other hand, even without Gal Assault skills taps guys at range with powerful alpha and, because you don't need to fire so fast, you can keep the kick down and just tac-tac-tac-tac-they're down. It's a very smooth, calm gun. Gotta be patient, steady, make every shot count, don't fire too fast and give yourself unnecessary recoil. With 25% bonus to kick and dispersion....you could really get in a zone I think. Tempted to drop some MCC SP on Gal Assault.

On the other hand, same can be said about the ACR close up now too: BDDDDTTTDDTT GO TO SLEEP! BDDDDDDTTT YOU TOO BDDTTT AND YOU BDDDTDDDDTTT GET SOME!!!! I was layin fools down with it tonight.
That's the thing: the BAR does the ACR's CQC job better than it with the GA bonus, and the TAR does the CR's down scope job better than it with the bonus, but they seem like they start to slide quick out of their comfort zone, whereas ACR and CR can handle whatever situation comes their way (though ACR is feeling like no-range AR with less kick now) a little more fluidly.
I need to play with the AR variants a bit more. That bonus is annoying cuz I really can't know how big a difference it would make without burning the SP. |

It's great at range, but the sad thing is, once you get in that range where the ACOG sight doesn't actually hinder your aim you're doing less damage because the "operational" range of the ACOG sight far exceeds the optimal range of the weapon.
I didn't think the Duvolle Tactical needed anything besides a range buff, that's all I wanted for the Tactical Assault Rifle.

Seems like kind of a quick scope weapon. It's best in close enough range that you can't just stay in scope. Track your guy...quick scope alpha...track him...quick scope alpha. |

(Sucks being poor ) Very familiar with that from using the laser. I think it could work both ways. You could take that whole last chunk of HP and beat someone to the kill. Like rail rifles do to me all day. |

I feel that it only needs just a few more rounds. I would even say the magic number of 20 rounds would be spot on. 20 rounds is just right for weapons of this nature. You find similar weapons in many other games. Those extra 2 shots would make it spot on in my opinion.

Honestly, I feel 24-26 would be much mo betta. Yes, I aim. Yes, SR overheats. (that's why you get the stupid large clip I guess...) V op V sharp IV pro. Still doesn't feel like a single shot rifle. Needs more dakka!
