Before we make any "Unconstructive" posts about how these changes are utter BS, lets look at the facts.
although our cooldown time was nerfed, our active time and thrust bonus is still sound, allowing you to still make a quick getaway. although it may seem that you are not surviving as long, you have to adapt to the new mechanics, learn when you need to flee again, and when you can get that last shot out. (also everyone is using the new SL to test it so expect everyone to grab it once they get a glimpse of that silver hull)
all that has changed is that you are no longer killing machines, you may no longer go 30-0 every game you play, but with pratice, you still won't lose as much isk as with other proto professions.

i agree but enough is enough already. how many times a year do pilots really need to adapt or die? how many times must we be dragged through the dirt? and this nerf will not save infantry. this isn't the final nerf to dropship the devs had set the bar long ago that any noob who cries on forums because he is infantry only will eventually have a hotfix built around him.

In all honesty the constant adapt or die makes the game interesting. If I was able to keep my tactics from 1.7, I would get bored real fast.
But I do see what you mean, we have to constantly think of a completely new tactic every update it seems. the balance of vehicles vs AV are in a constant fight, as neither is happy until they win 100% of the time.
I think what we need is a standard that both sides can agree to, then we can balance from there

The problem is vehicles are inherently broken. They weren't designed because they fit into the game, they were designed to be cool. Until CCP redesigns vehicles to have actual battlefield roles, balanced with infantry, this will always happen.

I had fun 1v1 fights with ADS before. Haven't played Delta yet but from what I hear it will be EZmode now. I'm the kind of player that actually enjoys a good fight, I even play single player games on the hardest setting. I'm still confused why everyone screams ADS are OP. |

Lol 30-0 every game. If only that were the case you might have a leg to stand on.
A good game (no/little AV, open maps), the typical ADS might go about 20 kils max, but typically hang around the low teens, lower with heavy AV on the field.

Vehicles have roles, just no one uses them:
DS/LAV: Troop transport, light covering fire. Sure people use them for transport, but then ditch them because they're either targets w/ little defense against the current tank-calliber AV, people fail to utilize their capabilities, or the fact that a light weapon is much more useful and versatile than a turret.
ADS: Fast light troop transport w/ strong aerial support. No one ever wants to use teamwork with an ADS (jumping in and out to move to objectives, 'hot dropping' with ADS covering fire, etc), so ADSs have become solo vehicles. I specifically asked Ratatti for a decent mCRU fitting change so I can viably fit one on my Python in order to promote this, but I don't see any reason to outside of PC because of blueberries.
Tanks: AV, infantry suppression/point defense. Same as ADS, though there are a lot of other problems. Tanks should be a lot tougher (more hp/resistance, etc) and tank vs. tank TTK increased a bit, but be a lot slower to warrant a need for good positioning, tactics, and support.
I have a lot of ideas as for changes to vehicles and vehicle mods, as well as other vehicles variants.

yea i was flying a grims without guns and a cru, the blueberries wouldn't jump out..y the just use it as an AFK wagon.. i had ADS drop team but they all play destiny now. idc about this dropship change i've seen much worse iterations.
