Well, now it doesn't matter what suit you fit, a counter-sniper with a charged will end you in one hit, so the age of camping out in one spot is over.
Seems to me like being able to move around without being seen, take 1-2 shots, and be an effective counter sniper just became an extremely useful thing.
Oh and ADS pilots, with the increase in snipers you guys are going to have a field day.

Good I didn't expect this behavior to pop up this go around but if this is the net result then I did my job.

Good, that's how it always should have been. I remember putting my sniper on a scout when I first started playing because I figured that was how it was supposed to be played.

This. It's the only reason I specced into light frames at the beginning.
However, the Caldari Commando is still decent if you know what you're doing. Just carry an aRR and you're good to go. |

I believe the starter sniper fit has always been a scout fit.
I remember when I first started playing a year and a half ago the Arbiter fit was a scout sniper fit.
It totally made sense until the SRs were left trailing behind the other weapons and HP became more of an issue. At which point snipers naturally shifted to Commandos.
It is good to see that both are viable options now.

When was sniping from one spot for an entire match a good idea? I thought the general rule was an empty clip meant it's time to change positions.
Have you considered a career in costumed aggression?

When you could tank everything but a thales (in headshots) to let you know when to move. Hell you could sit on top of 260 hp/sec regen which meant you could tank and countersnipe a non-thales user at the same time.
