We are expected to show participation in FW first.
Even though there is no reason for us to do so if our gear isn't in the FW store.
So umm, chicken and egg situation.

If our standing went up faster it might help. +75 per win just doesn't cut it.

This isn't waiting for anything to happen I don't think, it's just a matter of getting it done, and it's a really time-consuming task. I'll nudge about it again for hopefully the next hotfix.
