I'm no expert on computers or anything, but In the same way too much equipment spam bogs the game down, do you think the amount of crap in peoples inventory has an effect on how much the systems taxed having to think about all those numbers all the time? Would there be less buggy/slow/glitchy, etc...moments if you "cleared cookies" sort of speak by being able to relieve the system from having to process unnessesary numbers by having a massive inventory of junk you don't use? I could be wrong on how the game processes info, but the way I see it is everything in your inv is run through the system, each time you die/spawn, fire bullets, use, hives, so on and so forth constantly, that maybe the game would have less hickups if you could releave it from having to do so much thinking?
I think I just need to relieve myself from doing so much thinking, but hey I'll throw the idea out there. |

I think so and after dcing alot sunday i spent like 20 mins deleting all od my contacts it seemed to help. |

In my experience, assets don't affect game performance at all. That is why there is a long loading time when you decide to load them when changing your fit mid-battle.
Your suits might come pre-loaded, leaving only the performance and weapon loadout to be loaded.
In my code, I load the assets that are already in the character, and when there is a change, it loads it right there and then and "forgets" about what you had on. CCP might do it differently, though. I don't know. |

They gotta be doing it differently. I started off playing and all the problems I kept reading about, I always found myself saying, "why are these people having so many problems?, I never experience all these issues." But as I'm making more fits for certain occasions, and leveling up and aquiring more inventory, more FW loot, I'm noticing more delays, pauses, glitches and freezes? I might try and run some stupid fits to clear inv, and see if it doesn't help. Sure wish the market would buy it back. |
