And furthermore: The deep thought heavy opinion on CCP that BPOs breat and twist the dust market (or rather current stub economy)
But, that all fits along the big picture of dust being possibly shut down and possibly being monetized. What we know: -All Dropsuits will be BPOGÇÖs in Legion, so BPO dropsuits will not affect the market. -Most veteran players would rather buy Standard gear rather than use a Militia blueprint. -Even if people are using Militia BPOGÇÖs rather than purchasing Militia gear, the Militia gear cost so little that the impact on the market is minimal.
I would be a lot more surprised if the broad back Standard Weapon BPOGÇÖs.
Edit: Actually I think Militia gear should be seeded on the market in Legion, so that new players don't have to deal with market fluctuations until they learn to shoot. Have everything above Militia only available from players.

I already had the Sever Logi, but I did buy the Sever Scout, Sever Assault, and two copies of the Sever Sentinel this time around. (One for Fox and one for Crash.)
I would also buy the Valor or Raven Sentinel BPOGÇÖs if they are released, because I like both of those better than the Sever Sentinel. (But the Sever Sentinel at least looked better than the drab tan Dren Sentinel.)
I am guessing that I have spent over $600 on DUST so far, and that does not include the $15 per month I pay for decent in game mail and better Corp management tools.

My personal hope is that unique-looking things (suit skins) will transfer over, and AUR refund for the rest. Since CCP Z's progression thing at Fanfest said all suits were BPOs, BPO transfer for suits seems sensible to me, if they go with that progression system, or something like it.
But as CCP has not made a commitment either way on that, the safe assumption is purchasing just for DUST at this time. DUST is healthy enough that I think people who buy BPOs today will have plenty of time to get their money's worth out of them. They were removed, I think, pending the intention to add a player market to DUST. But since there isn't going to be a player market in DUST, it makes no sense to withhold popular items from purchase.

Actually had a friend go to London like 2 summers ago. She said she couldn't find Skittles or NowAndLaters. I don't know where your friend was looking... We even get the American skittles in a pink box in the uk (which are gross, by the way- I was glad of the tiny size of pack). The uk sells lots of types of skittles in 'sharing' bags (but really, they are single portion ) Why would you come here looking for American sweeties anyway?!! Try kinder eggs (customs took them off a friend entering America because apparently American children can't be trusted not to swallow the plastic egg inside) or Scottish tablet, washed down with Irn-Bru (also banned in America apparently) OMG! Kinder eggs ARE THE BEST! The only American candy I like are sour gummy worms though...
There's one chocolate I can't remember what it's called, but it has coconut in it. those are good too.
Anyways, I don't think militia BPO's are a sign of Dust shutting down. I think it's a sign of CCP trying to find a way to monotize Dust 514 so that it can stay up longer. This is a good thing!! Besides, they don't affect anything (too much) because we already have starter fits and you can build a militia suit for like 2500 isk.

I don't blame the devs currently working on dust there is not much they can do with the limited resources and they are making the best of it but i blame the devs who promised us a bigger and better Dust and could not deliver. Make Legion what dust was suppose to be or don't make it at all
These hotfixes have done more to turn DUST into an arena rumble style game and away from a tactical ground warfare game. I'd rather it go ahead and be one or the other instead of the mix that it used to be.
That's fine. Let DUST be the arena pvp game and let Legion be the tactical ground warfare game. I have a feeling CCP will still try to make Legion too much of a hoppy, skippy, jumpy roundy roundy though.

Now then, LAV / DS / HAV blueprints pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I would certainly pay for an LAV blueprint that I should have got a long time ago.
I might pay for a DS blueprint.

I wish bpos just meant you could use resources to manufacture and infinite amount of militia weapons and higher tier blueprints would be finite and something corps could fight over.
Eventually I would allow the ability to hire researchers and other types of npcs on districts to make better blueprints with enough funding. That way we could have a capture the flag mode only you're downloading data and bringing it back to you're district for decryption and what not. |

Bounty? (The marmite of chocolate bars)
I can see people buying militia BPOs for the times where they're getting proto stomped and don't want to lose ISK, or when they've run out of ISK to restock. It gives you the chance to make a custom starter fit- I think that's pretty cool! |

This simple fact makes the act all the sweeter.
Sorry about your toilet. I thought it as trying to call in an HAV and I got a little excited.
On a more serious note, my wishlist for BPOs:
All standard dropsuits all standard guns all Militia vehicles. all militia vehicle modules.
Seriously I want to have more tanks, dropships and LAVs on the field to feed my forge gun. It's eternally hungry. |
