It seems that vehicle users have discovered that the new matchmaking favors the use of vehicles. I have a couple of theories as to why, but perhaps someverification from others first.
Because, that's why.

Here's a theory, it's called the "Everything is Workings as intended, Probably" theory.
There are good players, there are bad players, and there are AFKers. In between all these players are various roles played by each individual person. To simplify we will only review Pilots, and Infantry, we will also forget about the AFKers.
Now that matchmaking has been put into place "good players," are, in theory, getting more and more encounters with other "good" players. If that is true then lower level players or as I will refer to them, the "bad players," are being separated from the "good" players.
As most players understand, "good" players have some form of AV that can counter tanks relatively well. However not every player has AV in there arsenal, whether the reason is to not bother, or that they don't have enough skill points to get AV weapons. Because the lower level players will not always have a viable counter against pilots, dedicated pilots, at least the newborn ones will have an advantage over infantry in there level, assuming the level is low. (Not well versed in the Mu system so I cannot say whether a pilot can use the system to be matched with lower tier players.)
Because of this players of the higher orientation will now be forced to play against relatively skilled vehicle pilots. If the system is working well a lower level vehicle pilots will not be forced to play against proto-av. And the skilled vehicle pilots will not be able to stomp out lower level infantry.

That's odd.
In my theory, Mu would actually be a detriment to Pilots, as they tend to have a higher K/D Ratio than most Infantry. In turn, this pits them against very skillful players. And most relatively good players have some form of Anti-Vehicle weaponry at their disposal.
But, I am intrigued and would love to hear your theory.

Nothing elaborate, I think most pilots are not full time pilots. Their efficiency rating, Mu, is based on all their play time, not just their vehicle play time. Vehicles make them much more efficient so they are being ranked low while able to play at a higher level.
I also think vehicles have a multiplier effect not captured by kills or WP. They are able to disrupt and harass players and force them to react rather than to act. You see a tank roll up onto an objective and chase everyone off all the time, he might not kill anyone but everyone is forced to flee, hide or die and this creates opportunities for his team. This isn't captured by WP or KDR analysis and W/L has too many factors to isolate this.
Either that or I just hate those *******.

You have a point to a degree, but you must understand that this is the first attemp at any kind of matchmaking so it may not be perfect, but it's better than Q syncs of nyain san vs 4 man squads of noobs and blues?! I would encourage individual players to have proficiency in some kind of AV whether it be forge, swarm, proxy, or AV Nade. Plasma cannons work well with skill and RE's. I would encourage small corps to invest their tax in their tankers, pilots, and players in general. What else are you spending it on? PC? Yeah sure?!

Just to be clear, it is not a complaint. It seems to me that the new matchmaking is working well and that is a huge overall improvement. The only ones who don't seem to like it are guys who are finding out they weren't as good as they thought. There are matches though that are anomalies though, they are complete stomps and it isn't clear why. My observation has been that vehicles are ruling the field in these cases. I don't know if that is a cause or effect, if it has something to do with the Clone Challenge or if it is just perception bias.
Because, that's why.
