Vehicles are still breaking Ambush matches.
I've played LOTS of Ambush this weekend ... no-lifed it all the way up to #11 in weekly kills! I've only played Ambush, and I've observed that the odds of finding good fights have been improved by vast degree. I've also observed that the Python and HAV are still quite capable of utterly spoiling matches.
Here's an example. Our side lost 6 clones.
This was, of course, an exterior map as all OMS matches seem to be. Our opponent, of course, switched to AV gear after being mopped by our two Pythons. Within minutes, literally half of the enemy was running swarms and forge guns. Our ground forces cut through them like a knife through butter. Our Pythons danced.
By some miracle, the enemy managed to get a Gorgon airborne which successfully ferried an AV team (forge, swarms and a logi) to the relative safety of a rooftop. The brave AV crew managed to crash one of the birds. Either that, or the Python bumped into something. I couldn't tell exactly what had happened from my sniper scope, but I was elated to find the friendly Python in flames.
Alas, my joy was short-lived. Python #2 promptly cleared the rooftop foothold of AV and Uplinks. Python #1 was promptly replaced by a Blaster Madrugar.
Of course it was.

Similar experiences here
Matchmaking can't account for the "Force Multiplier" of vehicles, which is a shame. Hope a balance to AV-V happens sometime soon.

I even busted out some militia AV in the form of the starter fit and a heavy with a forge gun in one of the matches, and managed to scare them away for a fraction of a second.
I have come to the conclusion that Goose and I have too much Mu.
Even when we aren't squading, we end up in the same matches, then end up 1 and 2 with the rest of our team doing jack squat.
And the last two times the Vehicles were ridiculous. Two or three tanks to our zero, maybe one and an enemy ADS.
It is weird how just the matchmaking changes are forcing me to play differently. Before, I got rid of my PLC fit and whatnot because I never used them. Now I am noticing more in game situations that require AV or splash damage weaponry to try and find uplinks.

It doesn't mean it is not still on the table for Delta or a later hotfix, or even something that changes on its own like matchmaking did.

If thats the case people are out of their damn minds. All because they refuse to switch to AV to take out tanks that are nowhere near as powerful as they were?
I wonder what will be their next excuse when they still get whooped on.

My understanding is that Rattati wanted to see how the new installations panned out first. They seem to be more annoyance than threat, perhaps due to their oft poor positioning.
As much I dislike (and routinely back out of) vehicle-aided Ambush stomps, I'm on the fence about their being removed from the mode. I'd much prefer to see V/AV balanced than content reduced. That said, if it proves impossible to balance V/AV in Ambush, then we have no choice but to remove them.

I think the new matchmaking has skewed the balance in favor of vehicles. I was about to make a post about this. Most of my matches have been well matched but some have been as bad as I've ever played, the bad ones all have the common denominator of vehicles ruling the field.
I'm not an unbiased observer on this issue though so don't trust my own observations.
