try it on destiny. nowhere to snipe from, it's basically 90% CQC maps with a little leverage on a couple maps. but man, it's still a pain in the ass. quick scope is the only way. target acquisition even on a large map is easier when you're not down scope, that's how small the maps are.
one good thing for dust, maybe some people will think like I do, and come back with a new resolve for using the SR. im definitely skilling that up to proficiency 3 now.
the range nerf will feel like nothing even happened because it'll be about the same as destiny |

Puft sniping is more doable in destiny than dust
1 you can quick scope with only slightly more difficulty than halo 1
2 the rogue class goes completely invisible when ads with a sniper
3 running a sniper in destiny is much like a tac ar..you move you circle you engage at a distance yes but not extreme distance.
4 it's got a working scope
5 the morte is not a sniper I'm the worst sniper in any fps..but I can snipe in destiny hue hue hue...

The zoom level varies greatly between sniper rifles.
I have one sniper with RIDICULOUS zoom, and it only really works on one map.
But when I do get that map, it's basically a headshot gallery.

Sniping in Destiny isnt that hard. Theres few places to snipe so you have to be creative. Headshots OHK pretty much every player (2748 DMG!).
Just dont try in Firebase Delphi.
The only person in Dust stupid enough to Proto every single god-damn weapon. 19/19.

Hehe, for you maybe.
dust sniper mechanics are the easiest you could possibly get.
No bullet drop or travel time and the ability to augment its power. Then we have hotfix delta which is going to see the ability for anyone to pick one up and do ok with it.

implying quick scoping is easy especially for people who have a life outside of FPS or who just dont like quick scoping

just because you dont mind not being able to set up a sniper post doesnt mean i have to

because if it had sway like dust it would be unusable in PVP (because of quick scoping)

quit stroking your e-peens and realize something
even BLOODY TOMB RAIDER had preset loadouts that you could customize, then choose which one u wanted before the battle started, so you could pick your setup based on the map
even dust has this in a similar form
in destiny you literally have to change it while your still sitting there getting killed out in the open
its like saying in dust, every time u have to change ur suit loadout, you have to go into the fitting and do it instead of selecting a preset fitting, how gay is that? |

When I snipe, the only way I'm getting a kill is if all shots are a headshot, while in most games 2-3 body shots will kill pretty much everything. Even if I do land all head-shots most of them are greeted with Shield Flares, so I have to reload and start all over again, despite loading an entire clip's worth of rounds into someone.
It's not PLC/FLP levels of difficult, but it's not easy either. As for being on the edge of my seat, most of my kills are in the 0-175m distance, so it can be quite exciting at times (especially when they send Scouts after you).
I'm not complaining about the head-shot part though, as I use KB/M. But I couldn't imagine the horrors faced by someone trying to use a TacSR and DS3.
