"Just to make one point, I tried all night to just play swarm AV. Proto swarms, not full skills, triple dmg mods.
I lost more suits than I have ever lost in a night, and I didn't kill a single dropship, nor a tank. One time I swear the ADS wagged at me as I launched the 3 death swarm, turned around and blasted away and came back to kill me.
Admittedly, not the best AVer out there, but, it's not only about not being able to kill vehicles, it's all the times I am trying to chase a double hit dropship or HAV, and get shot by any other infantry. I died 50% from not being able to defend my self against infantry, and the rest by blaster tanks or missile turret ads's.
Militia swarms being a threat is class A bs."

Rattati's actually not a new hire at CCP, he was just doing something else.
And yes, it is thrilling to see a dev confirming my long held point that swarms are useless.

After Delta there is only one thing on the AV side I want changed about AV/V, and that is I want a delay between exiting a vehicle and being able to use a weapon or preferably no exiting a vehicle except for an LAV and the delay applied to that.
on the vehicle side I think cost, collision damage and fittings all need a little work, although the latter I am merely taking tankers opinion, I really have no experience.
Because, that's why.

Despite people saying it's a skilless weapon, it requires some finesse to use properly and effectively kill stuff with.
Any idiot can lock on and fire, any idiot can ride an LAV and suicide swarm the dude, but knowing exactly when to launch, at what range, at what vehicle state (turret rotation, inertia, etc'), is what you must learn.
I am an infinitely better swarmer than I was months ago, simply because I learned through experience the optimal way to engage opponents.
In short, to actually be a threat, you must make yourself a threat through your skill.
Locking on and firing randomly will only get you so far.

Delta should come with a SP or infantry SP refund so that a campaign for one is not needed .

You're probably doing it wrong then. Don't get in their face, hit them on their blind side.

Good swarm users take my dropship down easy when they're smart about it, and they use teamwork. I'm not the best pilot around, but there have been times where I'll dip to the ground and immediately 4 sets of swarms are on their way, before I can thrust up they hit me and I'm down.
Swarms are a skillful weapon because you have to be patient.
