Because I can't remember/can't find the formulae.
1: Are the bonuses of % modules additive or multiplicative? I.E. would 2 +20 mods be a 40% bonus or dos it go x multiplied by .8 or 1.2 twice depending on if its an add or reducer?
2: whats the stacking penalty breakdown again? I need exact numbers.
I think I just figured ot something glorious, legal, non-cheapass and potentially hilarious. Will share after testing. |

In Dust how ever multipliers below 1 get the stacking penalty on the "wrong" module as Dust simply puts the stacking penalties on the modules with lowest value, regardless of wether or not "lower is better".

Does the skill mod apply before or after modules?
Is the bonus additive or multiplicative? This is critical.

Basically everything is multiplicative (so it doesn't matter which order they come in) Stacking penalty affects modules in the same stack Skill modifiers and module modifiers are in different stacks Skill modifiers to the same attribute are not stacking penalised

Weapon Damage * Damage Mod 1 * (Damage Mod 2 * Stacking Penalty) * (Damage Mod 3 * Stacking Penalty) * (Damage Mod 4 * Stacking Penalty) * Weapon Damage Profile * Weapon Proficiency
2100 * (1 + .05) * (1 + .05 * 0.8691199808) * (1 + .05 * 0.5705831435) * (1 + .05 * 0.282955154) = 2399.941063001 ~ 2400
vs Madrugar (1200 shields, 4000 armour):
first * is damage profile second * is weapon proficiency
2400 - (1200 * 1.1 * 1) = 1080 1080 - (4000 * 0.9 * 0.85) = -1980
So if you hit a Madrugar with that 4x damage modded specced out PRO Breach Forge gun it should be left with 1980 armour hp. Unless I did something wrong... (Not sure if it would take direct damage AND splash damage but that should be easy to check. Also the damage profile and proficiency could be applied to the damage and not the tank, but this way was quicker for me...) |

Not the answer I was hoping for, but the lesser result is still infinitely viable and relevant to my interests. I must now divert SP and conduct tests of my new methodology.
For once, my intended victims are not vehicle drivers.
