So my commando gives up quite a bit of armor and slots to fit two light weapons (I don't think the heavy weapon and sidearm are that much lighter but ok I'll go with it)
Then take the medium assault suit, it doesn't use the heavy weapon so his would allow the smaller frame and possible the heavy armor ( talking about the 85, 110, 135, plates). I can also kinda see this.
The logi looses HP to have the extra equipment as well.
Now we look at the scout. It has a small frame but can still fit the light weapon and sidearm and some how the heavy armor????thats got to be putting a lot on that small frame. But wait some how they also manage to fit a better shield generator (recharge rate and delays) and far superior sensors that some how didn't fit on the other suits.
This doesn't seem to add up right.... Oh but what if it was because of the superior tech used on the smaller frame, ya that must be it. But no they still coast the same amount.
This really is a wonder of technology or they purposely don't use the full potential of the larger frames.
Scouts should loose something for all their speed and eware.

Scouts shouldnt be able to mount the same amor plates as a heavy, actually more plates than the heavy. They should have to sacrifice the same as my commando and assault did.

Scouts were very powerful suits in 1.6 already. I went from 2.5 to 3 kdr solely due to my advanced GalScout.
Since then: - An extra module slot - An extra equipment slot - More scan range - Reduced scan profile - More CPU/PG
Now the heavy and assault have undergone some buffs too, so we shouldn't undo all of these. Some of the buffs may be dialed back a bit though, I believe. |

Scouts should loose something for all their speed and eware. ill explain it. scout has lower base ehp so they have more fitting space. Med suits have more base ehp so they have less fitting space. Heavies have the moat base ehp so they have the least amount of fitting space. Scouts shouldnt have to pay for ewar they should have to pay for fitting regular plates. |

tly, I thinkscouts should be limited to two sidearms. Here is my logic.
A specialization like scout or assault should give up something from the base frame in exchange for their bonuses. For example, logos give up a sidearm in exchange for more equipment and slots. The same should apply to all specializations.
Sentinels could lose a sidearm slot. Assaults lose the equipment slot. Scouts lose the lght weapon slot for 2 sidearms.
These are possibilities, but the idea is that the specializations lose the versatility of the basic frames to do better in a particular area. Sentinels gain a fitting and damage resistance bonus at the cost of a backup sidearm. Scouts gain a massive cloak fitting reduction and ewat bonuses at the cost of light weapons. Assaults gain weapon fitting reduction and rifle bonuses at the cost of equipment.
This, coupled with a decrease in basic frame cost to be lower than the specializations, could see basic frames be more widely used than they are now. Scout is no longer an upgrade from light frames, but a side choice. You can have your speedy shotgun, or your cloak fitting and ewar bonus, but not both.

That statement is only true about a single medium. Logistics.
Assaults have high eHP and 8 slots, you must have forgotten.

NO.
Proto Amarr/Min/Cal ASSAULT user Proto Amarr/ ADV gal/Cal/Min Sentinel user Proto Gal/Cal/Min ADV amarr scout user
I've played with all of the afore mentioned styles, and i can tell you.... being able to fit 500 HP on a scout means nothing when a HMG turns on you. Or a proto assault strafe locks you with 1000+ EHP and a proto weapon.....
Right now scouts and assaults are close to balance, but heavy BURST has ruined balance a little bit.... basically heavy with sixkin>ANY ASSAULT RIFLE period.

Scouts should loose something for all their speed and eware. firstly the description mentions they strip commando of alot of its armor so i feel commando need to have a smaller hitbox and be a bit faster and maybe add another 1 to 3 slots
assault suits are shaping up nicely could probably do with a second equipment slot as med/assault are supposed to be versatile suits.
logi.. need a slight ehp buff as they have fallen behind all other suits in terms of ehp vs effectiveness.. if no ehp buff then all logi suits need to have the max 4 equipment slots across all tiers and buff cpu/pg accordingly
scouts are just the major problem atm.. they are just too good.. they outshine assaults, and with 2 slots they can even perform like Logi they need to seperate the scout into 2 roles.. scout and assassin
assassin, can use cloak sidearms only cannot fit plates(except reactive/ferroscale) 2 equipment slots current Ewar bonuses higher base eHP then scout to compensate running ewar
scout cannot use cloak light weapon sidearm 1 equipment slots cannot fit plates(except ferroscale/reactive) ewar is 1/2 what it currently is.. giving some love back to active scanners by proxy of the nerf.
finally give all assault suits 2 equipment slots, no other changes except maybe suit bonuses 5% reduction of pg and cpu use for light+side+nade +5% clip size for any weapon +5% reload and then the hard part will be to work out racial bonuses for the suits but those 3 bonuses i mentioned should be on all assault suits
