One of the best parts of Destiny is how smooth the controls feel, it's pretty shallow/gimmicky I'm many respects, and I don't think it's PvP is anywhere near the level of depth and strategy that DUST has. It does have silky smooth controls though. I think a big part of this is that there is a non-linear relationship between the amount you deflect the right stick and the speed it moves your reticule. When you move the right stick a little, you can get incredibly fine control, but when you move it to the maximum, you get very fast movement. There's obviously some exponential curve linking stick movement to rate of turn on screen.
With DUST, it's either bump sensitivity way high, but then you have no fine-aiming control, or set it way low, and then you can't track moving targets.
I'd love it if CCP could reverse-engineer the Destiny experience with the controls. Having separate controls for ADS and hipfire was an excellent step. But I'd love to be able to have non-linear controls, and ultimately have the option to set independent ADS/hipfire for each weapon (under an advanced tab).
I'm not sure if any of this is hotfixable.
Best PvE idea ever!

Agreed that I love the aiming in destiny as opposed to dust aiming. Dust aiming as always felt overly sensitive and jerky. Lowering my sensitivity never seemed to make much of a difference, just isn't smooth enough to begin with. I always over shoot my targets, and I've had a LOT of gun game practice of late.
