The title basically. I know Tech De Ra was able to do it, but I can't find any tutorials anywhere. I really want that sexy font.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

no VPN required
Make a new PSN user, sign up to PSN and set your language on this PSN account to japanese
Now you need to go through all the normal signing up, but everything is in japanese so it helps to have one of the million billion youtube guides on this
once you're on jap PSN, go to PSN store and just search for dust 514, download the client, install etc
sign into your english account and just run the new dust 514 client, you'll have 2 clients now so its easy to sort the games list by date and choose the latest one

It still gives you english aura voice and stuff unless you change your accounts ps3 language setting to japanese (the first set of symbols in the list)
I'm just running it in full japanese mode because aura sounds much more chilled and its quite funny trying to work out what skills are what because ITS ALL IN A DIFFERENT ORDER

i would expect you just make a JPN psn id up (probs need ot google a japanese house address) and there you go. i have a U.S and German psn account (german one for an exclusive car from Autobild in Shift2)

Yeah, that's what initially got me. The order for items in the skill tree doesn't change unless you specifically change it to Japanese in that client. Odd stuff.
Also, don't forget to try out PS Home with that Japanese account. They're closing down new sales by October and they're giving away a tone of free stuff.

Really though, could Rattati change the font type to the Japanese type or would that require patching? Its a very nice and more importantly clear font that many would like.

I think its a verisimilitude aspect that they want to maintain with EVE Online. There may also be agreement stipulations with the font creator CCP games contracted to create the font used in both games.
I started to find these things out when I got into a little hot water when remaking and releasing my own font of a similar typeface. Typefaces themselves aren't copywriteable in the US at least. Fonts are a different story because they are the computer directions to organize a typeface and can be considered intellectual property
