So I was playing around with some different fits, just experimenting, and I put an assault mass driver on my adv min scout with an assault SMG. I was running ambush and it worked surprisingly well. I added a couple range amps to keep track of the reds and some nano hives. It wasn't a slayer fit by far but did quite well as support. Stayed alive a lot longer then my commando, not sure if it was the smaller bit box or the EWAR advantages.
What kinda mass driver fits and tactics y'all use?

It's a shame the Minmatar Assault bonus doesn't affect it.
Anyways, I hate that weapon. I don't know why, but i just can't stand using it, or getting abused by it lol |

MD scout works a treat in my opinion great for flanking then providing support fire.

I wanna try it on my min logi next. I usually go for the C R, needles and repair tool, cause of all those WP, but think I might try a uplink nano hive REAR support logi for my isk grind.

That's my mass driver tactic.
For PC, iv never used it, because then I'd have to actually watch where I'm spamming.

You gotta carry res. I used to use this fit all the time. Rush a group of reds from behind w res, blow res, then finish the group off w massdriver. |

What kinda mass driver fits and tactics y'all use?
I can tell you what I used to do against mass driver users..... run at them with the elbow of doom! Half the time they blow themselves up trying to shoot at things too close to them, its quite enjoyable when they kill themselves :)

It's not an easy fit but we have a member who uses MD-scout with very good success.

I actually prefer suiciding my Logi ALT than giving the other side a kill.

I use minmatar scout with MD for point defense. I can defend the point at an angle where the enemy can't shoot at me.

Like MD scout a lot. Cloak, REs, flaylock, fluxes or locus, as many kin cats as you can stack and as many precision enhancers

Once you start thinking with splash damage, then there isn't a safe piece of enemy equipment. High, low, forget about it. Oh, enemy trying to recoup behind cover, that's cute. Sorry about the killsteal blue dot, entirely "accidental".

Especially when you are using assault MD, I've gotten so many kills with it when the enemy thinks he's so deep in cover that he can't possibly be hurt by me and then he dies, lol.

Sit way back, preferably on top of a building or behind a small hill or rock, beer in one hand and controller in the other. Pop em all day long.
I like to see how well I can gauge a long distance shot and throw off people who move around because they see it coming.
Also, good for dislodging groups from behind a rock or building.

I can't remember their names but I have seen some videos of some really skilled marksmanship with the MD. They hit moving targets, not splash damage but direct hits, from over 50 meters. That takes serious skills.
