All you really need to do is drop the fitting power of the suit and buff the equipment fitting bonus approporately. That way you can't take all the extra CPU/PG a logi suit has and just use it for brick tanking. Simple. Lawl

LOL what world do you live in?

Switch logistic suits and commando suits.
Logi would be better off as a heavy suit, gaining an eHP bonus but being a little slower.
Commando would be better as a medium suit, losing some eHP but gaining a speed/scanning bonus.
You could probably even keep the module slot layout and cpu/pg pretty much the same, it may take some fine tuning to get things right, but the size of the dropsuits these use really should be switched around. Wow,no.
Logis getting eHP? Good.
Lolmandos getting 2 light weapons and 8 slots? Who would use the assault?
The one draw assaults have over lolmandos is that they aren't as slow.
And the Devs still haven't fixed the spots where heavies get stuck.
You haven't even considered the future modules that will be introduced to boost equipment efficiency. "Leave modules the same"he says.
Just like pre charlie assaults you have slot envy.

I just don't know what to say to you anymore. I know you care about being a logi, and are passionate about it, which is nice, but... It's unfortunate that any and all nuance is completely lost on you. You've got to think past step one here. The issue we want to avoid is logi's using ALL their fitting power for brick tanking, proto weapons, damage mods, whatever, anything besides equipment. That was the fundamental problem with giving the logi suits massive unrestricted fitting power in early Uprising. They made assault suits obsolete because you could do more with them. Why use an assault suit when you got 20% more PG or CPU with a logi suit? The cal logi had more high slots than the assault and enough fitting power to put whatever you wanted there. They were running around with more shields than the current Calmando's had, and were much faster. The cal assault was like a gimped starter fit in comparison. It's awfully convenient how everyone says "way back when, logistics used to be OP".
Well, let me make a few equally stupid comparisons. ARs used to shoot as far as RRs. Snipers used to 1 shot HAVs. Logistics used to have a vehicle counterpart.
See the similarities? "used to"
With all the new changes every other suit, including scouts, can eclipse logistics survival. Yet the only solution is "to make it harder for them to survive"?
I can only speak for myself when i say this: I set my suit up trying to take advantage of its limited abilities. Min logistics, although is slow is still faster than the others. This is what i build my suit around.
I can't use eWAR because my native stats make it too much of a risk. I can either: -live longer with an extender -or- -die faster with better sight
Another scenario, using biotics: -I can run fast similar to a more heavily tanked assault, getting slaughtered because i still can't outrun anything -I can run far similar to a more heavily tanked assault, getting slaughtered because i still can't outrun anything -or- -I can survive longer with a regulator or plate.
It isn't a hard choice.And there isn't a third option.
My rep tool places me firmly on the front lines and right infront of my enemies. I can't outrun anything,i can't rep my shields fast enough to make eWAR worth it.
Logistics has been steadfastly stuck in a hole. Having 0 natural survival stats built in,they must use every slot to compensate.
TL;DR i can't rep when i'm dead!!!

Wow,no. Logis getting eHP? Good. Lolmandos getting 2 light weapons and 8 slots? Who would use the assault? Maybe you misunderstood, Logi suits would have the same high # of module slots as a heavy suit as they do now as a medium suit, and commando suits would have the same low # of module slots as a medium suit as they do now as a heavy suit. Basically just take the Logi, keep everything the same except, its bumped up to a heavy suit status for movement speed and extra eHP, still only one light weapon slot. Logis get the same (or balanced slightly lower) module choices to make except they have more hp buffer. Take commando suit, keep everything the same except, bump it down to a medium suit for ehp and bump up the movement speed, still has two light weapons. Commandows would now be more on par with assault suits, but they would have less module slots than assault suits, maybe less stamina too, slightly slower movement speed that is still faster than what they had as commando. What I dont want to happen is Commando's getting moved to medium and then getting the module slot layout that logist have now, and what I dont want to happen is logis getting moved to heavy and getting the slot layout commandos have now. Thanks for the clarification.
But don't think you know what you're asking for...
Imagine being 1 basic ferros from a scout in eHP,with 2 weapons,1 equipment, slow with commandos current slots. To keep assaults valid they have left logistics in a similar state,so they would have 0 problems doing it to commandos too.
Even though commandos obviously need a buff CCP has relegated it to 'necessity',which means if they do it'll be a LONG time from now,if ever.
Heck,CCP doesn't even have commandos planned to be in Dust 514 2.0,aka legion, they are giving assaults the 2 light weapons.
So it looks like commandos are finished, which is sad. I like you tomato people.
