I'm fine with people using equipment that aides in a win Proto or militia but on a number of times on different forum postings people always complain about Proto Stompers and noobs taking the brunt of it. I propose the addition of a mode that only allows Militia, Basic Suits and Vehicles along with Passive skills such as suit upgrades like Scan Profile, PG/CPU. With this players would rely on their passive skills and at the most Basic Suits, Weapons and vehicles allowing new players to take on people that have been in this for 2 years and have a chance. Also CCP could sell AUR packs with say 50 suits, weapons, modules and pieces of equipment that would make a decent Basic suit for say $3 which would be very affordable allowing someone to lose some suits and not feel too much of a loss. Naturally the packs would pump more lifeblood into the game. Thoughts? |

If you let passive skills into this match type, the 2 year old players will have a very big advantage, due to having all of their passives maxed, and so they get the most out of their suit. Yes, a mlt/std match type would be lots of fun, and help balance a lot, but you'd still have to figure out what to do about passive skills.

I agree it would be a huge advantage for Passive skills to be included but it still would be a far cry from Proito Weapons, Suits, Equipment and skills. No, vets will millitia-stomp.
Better idea: 2nd tier academy optional game mode. Once you graduate from the existing short academy, this would be the only game mode checked by default. You can play in these matches until you hit the SP cap (somewhere between 2-5 mill SP). You can also play in other game modes too if you want, but you'll always have a place to go where you're with other newer characters, until you have enough SP to field a solid ADV fit and some experience with the maps/tactics.
Combine this with having a bunch of copies of militia fittings representing most of the weapons/roles available, and the improved matchmaking that CCP Rattati is working on and you've got a recipe for a significantly improved NPE.
Best PvE idea ever!

Vets would still have an advantage, but it would be better than what you see now.
The best thing for noobs is to be in a training corp though. I can't figure out why Dust Uni doesn't have squads in squad finder 24/7. I've literally never seen one. Same for the other training corps.

How long will this game be considered as being on life support ???
Why try to attract new players to a game with an expiration date ???
FF all over again because these new players will be console players mostly and when they get good and settled , the game will be taken away from them and they will have to pay to play and it will be more than the price of a PS4 and if they already own a PS4 , then what will the attraction be seeing as how SONY has games of similar style on the cusp .
I can't even understand why this is discussed and part of the blame could be focused on CCP for their handling of FF .
There had to be a better way of handling that .
I for one , couldn't try and recruit anyone to play this game given the circumstances .
Regardless of how I feel about it or the community .
I care for and like both but the circumstances are just too hectic .
Delta should come with a SP or infantry SP refund so that a campaign for one is not needed .

I'm not proposing splitting up squads based off of skill or SP accumulation but merely a mode where top shelf gear isn't available to make veterans easier to fend off for noons. |

Even with militia gear i still kill newbs running proto. I have all my core skills maxed every suit i wear is that much better because of it. So when i go against a newb that has proto gear but no core skills its an easy kill. |

We just need proper WP segregation for Pub Matches, and "anything goes" for FW and PC.
Benchmarks: 10,000 100,000 500,000
Squads would be calculated using the highest WP player.
Or use SP totals *Shrugs*
Matchmaking using other methods is dubious, as the current win/loss system is obviously screwy considering new player VS 40MSP vet is going to end badly whether or not they have the same WL ratio, and KDR is also a bad balancing tool given Logies and such.
I have to say, even with the problems that Ghost Recon: Phantoms has, it still has better matchmaking and it is an objective based game.
So yeah, WP, SP, or WP/D ratio, something...
Main problem though is lack of proper tutorials for new players, rolling a new character and using the Medic or Frontline suits OUT of the Academy I still do very damn well with zero SP invested.

In EVE there are new player implants that significantly boost SP gains.
I would suggest giving newberries a 2x active booster that allows them to bypass the SP cap and expends at 6 million SP.
Also omega passive boosters would be cool. |

Why would you want to attract new players?
Soon as they get here they will discover bugs, crashes and all the glitches we take for granted. Then they will want something done about it, they will post on the forums and I will reply telling them (as I have many times before) that there is no development on the client side of the game (aka Dust514 on the PS3). All the work is being done by our two stalwart developers by A) modifying values in a database on the server and B) keeping the big fires from melting the forums. Depending on a variety of factors I might even mention the project that is not a product Legion.
Oh, what the heck. If you can convince them, fine. It would just be nice if you were honest about the status of the game. Cause that would be a big change.
In New Eden no SP is wisely spent.
CCP will Nerf the reason right out from under you.

I've always sent noobs to ML, KEQ, Rogue Spades(Back in ye olde days of EoN), or TCR...
Burgezz feels like a place that's good to send a person who is experienced the the whole clan thing Onslaught, Honestly I've no clue why I never sent folks their way D-Uni, Training corp with a Tax and No District, I'd rather send folks to PRO at least CBJ admits what he does Immortal Guides, I've felt that IG was better for Mid-Grade players not total newbs TUL/PRO, I've sent plenty of squeakers to the tax farms
