I have currently enough sp to get adv. and just want your guys advice on how to fit them.

Get shield regulators. You're gonna need them if you choose to focus only on your shield tank.

Fit an armour repairer with armour plates...If you are going solo fit remote explosives, if not a nanite injector. Shield extenders as well. Fit flux grenades not locus. Any weapon combo

If you have gun game. But DON'T FLUX unless you know how to throw it. Caldari hate fluxes.

Right now I have 3 shield extenders, 1 energizer, 1 reactive plate, 1 energizer, a rail or combat rifle, and an assault scrambler pistol or assault smg. Flux are best because the normal grenades suck now unless it's the core grenade.

Let me just say that the Caldari assault is one of the few shield suits where you can solely shield tank and do damn good with it.
4-5 Complex shield extenders to get you in the 550-+600 shield range along with a Complex regulator (personally I'd put two on)
couple that with a great rifle for ranged combat and whatever else you like and you have a god suit.
I may hate Caldari but damn if I don't respect a properly lore built shield suit.
I dont come across them too often but when I do out 1v1s feel so much more immersive.
Short range Ambusher against the Long ranged Tactician....I get shivers.

This. I run my Cal assault without plates. Strictly regulators and armor rep. If you know how to use em you'll do great with it, keep in mind shield suits are not brawlers, well you can but armor suits brawl better. Keep your distance and start wearing people out that's where the suit is in its best place. Little tip, run nano hives or uplinks with it. |

I usually run:
1 complex damage mod
2 enhanced shield extenders
I enhanced energizer
1 enhanced armor plate
1 enhanced armor repairer
Toxin SMG
BPO granade
Enhanced uplink
With either a GEK-38, BK42 or RS-90.
My lack of damage mods is made up for my weapon skills - all 4 or 5 including sharpshooter. |
