 Seriously, what the hell?
 
 So, I'm in Manus Peak hunting a sniper over at the Redline with the hills near B. I spot him and run up to the guy, getting a couple of headshots when all of a sudden, I commit suicide with 7 seconds left on the clock.
 
 Explain!

 It makes killing redline installations a pain in the a especially now since they have 12k hp and some can still reach you on the objective.This bug is really just the cherry on top of what is the redline.

 Yeah, it's a b*tch. Sniper hunting is always a risk in the redline. I find that I usually "commit suicide" at the 5-7 second mark.

 I always get a different redline bug, which is after I journey into the redline and come out, the timer persists for like 3-5 seconds. I've died a few times from that.

 Just had this happen an hour or so ago. Redline, killing someone, escaping with plenty of time to spare... die at the 7 second mark.

 Sorry kids, no time for fixing annoying 1-2 years old bugs & etc. We have here very serious neverending gun balancing 514, that is main priority!

 Yeah well try this: I'm in match, I fly to the enemy redline to deal with the redline tank, get out of the redline and explode outside the redline, 500k + 40k suit, I spawn in again and I get back to the enemy redline to try again and I explode with 5 seconds on the clock, another 500k + 40k suit, alright, I try it again and I explode with 8 seconds on the clock, yet another 500k + 40k suit, that's 3 stupid redline deaths in a row, there wasn't a single successful redline run in between. And after those 3 I decided to afk in my own redline.

I'm wondering if it has something in relation to the whole "bullets around corners" thing. Like a hit box being lagged behind you or something. Probably not, judging from how long it "stays" in after I've left.
 I've never actually encountered the one you talk about though

And btw, if I did that, CCP would have to refund me over 100M ISK. That's how many times I've died to the redline bug at the very least.

 Back in the closed beta days, the counter was much lower than the one we have now. But it got increased because Dropships (not ADs) used to be much faster back then and with an afterburner, they'd sometimes get deep inside the redline before they could pull the dropship away, sometimes they went so deep that 10 seconds wasn't enough to leave the redline.
 
 Which is why we don't have jets. CCP said that the jets are rendered and ready to be deployed but since the maps are small atm, they wouldn't have much flying space. They could take away the redline when you are in one, but that will encouraged bombaring runs in the enemy's base spawn.
