I did a TAC vs SCR video a few days ago that got a good bit of traction. Thanks for that. Several requested a similar comparison for the other rifle variants. I captured a good bit of footage last night with the Burst AR and will be putting the final touches on that video tonight.
Any request to highlight that I didn't cover in the last video?
I've already put a fare bit of time in the realistic DPS for both rifles, which I didn't do in the last video. The numbers are not very surprising (the burst is pretty weak) I'm also going to touch on the published ranges of the two.
Thoughts?

Effects of Racial bonuses?
Such as how the Gallente Assault will have less hipfire dispersion with the burst AR, which might make it more viable for you when it might be terrible for others.

Unfortunately I don't have a spare 2+ mil SP to invest in the Gal assault to show this, but I will cover the Gal Assault skill.

I would recommend just using an alt with zero skills to show how the weapon handles. In fact, most of the videos should be shown with zero skills, so as to give a baseline. If you have certain weapons with more SP in them, it can effect how they handle in game by quite an amount.
Take the SMG for example. At sharpshooter III, it handles FAR better than base, since it has the dual effect of making it more accurate and slightly increasing DPS (Due to more bullets hitting the target rather than missing due to it's spray)

Yep, plan to do that, and a RR vs Breach, but I have no skills in the RR ATM. I was actually going to compair all 4 auto ARs in one video as the last one, but again, my unallocated SP is my Nerf cushion and am not committed to dumping it into the RR yet.

I absolutely do and,like the idea, but the only AR I don't have at least prof and sharpshooter 4 in is the RR. I think showing the weapons at their max, which is what most users of a particular weapon type hover near is the better way to go. What I won't do is try to compare weapons with too much skill gap. The last video I did showed the TAC at sharpshooter 4. The combat vs Burst will be sharpshooter 5 on CR and 4 on burst.
I'd go to 5 on the AR, but I wouldn't have enough SP to bring the RR up to OP 5 sharpshooter 4 for the Breach comparison.

It's a little hard to test because of the circumstance, but the biggest issue I've had with burst rifles in this game is them locking up and misfiring because of framerate lag. This is most evident on the Gallente Lag Facility as well as most PC matches.
When I streamed I demonstrated it a bit to some of my viewers. I did it in a skirmish where the Gallente Lag Facility was the large socket. The supply depot had been spammed with uplinks/hives and such and the inside was feeling pretty laggy. I would turn my screen to face all the nanohives to maximize what had to be rendered and try to achieve maximum RoF.
Then, I'd go far out from the fighting where there wasn't as much framerate lag and try again. The max achievable RoF in non-laggy vs laggy conditions is pretty severe. It makes such a huge difference in city sockets or in PC battles where there's almost always lag.

I wasn't going to bring this up because I need to do more testing. Being very circumstantial it's hard to capture, especially when my own ability to stay in time is at play, but here goes.
In two different doms last night, both of which I just went to the redline and shot at a wall, I was able to achieve two different tempos. The first one I was at 104 bpm firing two burst per beat, in that game I tried my ass off to get the timing down to get a better tempo, I never could get that constant stream of fire achievable by the CR.
A later that night I was doing it consistent at hitting it at 112 bpm. 8 bpm may not sound like much, but trust me it's a lot considering I couldn't get it at 105 earlier. I was so confident in my 104 timing that I did full calculation based on that tempo for actual DPS. I was so confident after at 112 that I went back and redid the calculations.
I think your right. I think both latency and cycles arm playing into the misfire issues we see on both the simi autos and the burst.

Yeah when I was still doing PCs I remembered all the Boundless CR users (including myself) would switch to the Assault Combat Rifle or Rail Rifle for PC because it was always laggy and the Boundless CR or any burst/single-shot weapon's DPS is seriously cut in half when you're in PC slideshow mode.
