I know this subject came up a few times during the past, however I wondered with all the balancing that is happening at the moment. When it comes to AV vs V is it possible to put the pilot suits and skills into the client without redistributing the client?
Since the suit is a variant of the light suit id imagine not for that but not so sure about updating the skill tree?
The wearer of the pilot suit could grant a ehp bonus, rep bonus or other things to the vehicle they are driving giving an advantage to Wearing it. However as has been stated in the past I think would only have a sidearm slot.

unfortunately at this time, a new suit with different colors, skills, isk, and passive skills would require a client update. and ccp has their hands pretty full ATM with delta and legion. look how long it took to add 1 color to the commandos. so a completely new suit would be at least 3 months away even if they wanted to and had free time.

I'd rather they remove all vehicles from the game than add a pilot suit at this point.

I'm not certain we will see pilot dropsuits in Legion, honestly. If we do, it will be after several more hotfixes. There have been some rumors of a client side update after foxtrot. Maybe then?

Infantry declared the suits OP when all we had were placeholder passive skills. No idea if there were specific modules for it, or the basic infantry mods, or how the suit layout was going to be.
Infantry dictates which direction the game will take, and vehicle pilots are completely forgotten about. |

Actually, this is for the most part false.
Color changes can occur in a hotfix, and as it was going to be recolored Scout suit for the most part anyway, that's alright. It took them time to figure out how to do it, now that they know, it'll be easy.
They've added a skill via hotfix before. And changed passives on multiple occasions.
Isk.. Dafuq does that even mean?
Its more along the lines of having no purpose. Even pilots didn't want them, just another SP sink for them.
If you find an issue and I stumble upon your thread, I will do my darnedest to get the issue known.

Theyd probably just nerf vehicles before they came out so youd have to skill up to what you already had. Any buffs to vehicles would be scary op and break the game. Were still getting vehicle nerfs every update its ridiculous. |

CCP can change stats without a client update.
CCP can change color palettes without it (pilot suits are supposed to be orange).
CCP can reconfigure slot layouts without it.
CCP can even change suit descriptions without it.
What I don't know if they can do or not is change suit classes.
If they could, they could grab the scout suits, recolor them, re-stat them, and ship them to the pilot category. What would take the most time is figuring outwhat their roles would be and balancing them. Should Caldari give a cooldown time bonus? The Amarr module activation time? Etc. Again, that's a big IF. And IF they could do it, you'd probably see them around Hotfix H (Hector?) and the release date would be a bit stretched from Gamma because of the bonuses and role issue I stated.

I know right? Every single update they manage to slip in a vehicle nerf of some kind. Never mind about the real broken stuff. Just another kick in the nuts while the ref's looking elsewhere. |

I'm trying to ease the pain by giving valid explanations why it won't happen. YOUR just trying to be "right" about something that cannot happen.
