Hello my fellow mercs im here to bring a public warning regarding certain suits, weapons and vehicles. So do not spec into the following categorys due to changes that are beeing discussed and might end up really crap:
-all sidearms
-scrambler rifle/amarr assault (if the SCR gets gimped too hard the bonus gets useless)
-projectile weapons
-Assault dropships (because of afterbuner nerf or eventual swarm buff)
-sniper rifles
-Tanks
-small rails
Those categorys are beeing discussed currently and because we dont know how hard the nerfs are going to hit them (mainly scrambler beeing gimped like the TAR) i strongly advise not to spend SP on those things cause you might gonna regret it soon. Be a smart player and be patient to wait how its going to work out or be a moron and cry as soon the hotfix dropped.

Good notification to put out. Originally I was going to get more CR proficiency levels, but after reading the hotfix notes that SP is going into complex shield extenders.
Why am I still here yet?

Such a shame. I was looking forward to rocking a viziam ScR with a Six Kin smg. I have this ominous feeling that they're both gonna get over nerfed.

I'm in the exact same boat. I have Amarr assault 5 and ScR pro 5. The profile was already nerfed and now they're gonna bury it because alpha damage is always hated.
They could just change heat build and kick for all weapons to per shot instead of per second.

This really only applies to FOTM chasers. For everyone else, spec into what you want to have fun.

I already went proto magsec. Prof. 3 I'm about 70% sure the magsec will be getting some sort if buff so I'm not that worried

Assault rifles(plasma) are getting an overall buff so i think they may be the "new" FOTM CQB battle rifle
im skeptical abotu what ccp is going to do to CR when i just managed to get CR 5 and proff 2 thanks to the event..
the snipers are only getting a range nerf.. while getting a damage and HS damage buff so expect more snipers running a proto Charge rifle and OHKing standard and most advanced suits.
sidearms is a **** take.. the SMG(not assault) is a fine platform and a great balancing point to balance other sidearms against..
the projectile weapon damage profile change/nerf may make HMGs obsolete and drive sentinels to run with rifles yet again.

Based on CCP's history of respecs i highly doubt they will give a respec after delta even if it is the last hotfix.
Generally so far CCP has only issues respecs after MAJOR content updates. By that i mean things like releasing multiple new racial dropsuits or pulling back multiple vehicles.
When they adjust existing content they have not been known to give respecs, such as when the flaylock and tak nerfbomb dropped. |

this is not ment for old seasoned vets (like me) but rather to people starting out, not specced into the stuff mentioned and for people who might where about to spec into this stuff but got the warning and i saved them millions of SP.

I'd say skill into whatever you want because they are trying to balance everything. The Cal Sent was seemingly nerfed fitting wise and just a month later will be getting a buff of sorts with resists and shield mod fitting price adjustments.
I say give everyone a RESPEC to shut them up and be done with it.

I have scrambler proficiency 5...
had it since the first week after uprising.
Probably won't skill into Amarr Assault to 5...but saving sp is a must.
