Do you have a plan to run legion on the oculus rift!?
Just the different HUDs alone would be fun to make

Unlikely, but that won't stop someone making a mod to allow it to be used with the Occulus. Perhaps CCP may even make it official.

Considering its made from a modified unreal 3, its possible but deffinetly not on release or any time soon as its just not a priority. That being said, I have mentioned it to them in the past.

Even if there is not native support, I know there are tools that allow you to turn many games into oculus games. I forget the name of the software now but i am told its quite good which is how you can play Far Cry 3 with the oculus.

By the time legion drops if it doesn't have VR support it will be two steps behind off the drop

Not really. The market for VR is still very small to be honest. Many players still seem to regard Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus as nothing more than expensive gimmicks. It might not even be worth it for CCP to spend R&D money for something that won't see sufficient returns in the PC market for gear similar to the Rift or Morpheus.

Very hard considering CCP needs to devote a lot of resources in making Legion stand out on its own as a game. Implementing a gimmick like the Rift is not something I would regard as "priority" for now and I am not in any position to spend $400 on a headset.

Speaking of that, I hope there's some chance of talking some sense into them about using a crapton of house-made tech on top of UE3 because they say it'll do the same stuff as UE4.

I mean, haven't we been down this road before? In the interest of not going back to the cycle of infinite bugs that never get fixed, might it be better to just use UE4 and the base technology it provides rather than a lot of balky workarounds?
